Seems a bit redundant doesn't it?? Anyway, since I'm a pack rat and never throw anything away, I had a few parts left over from my flashlight switch/RCA mod, so figured wth-I'd whip up a detachable LED light with an RCA connector. Used an old 901 atty and inserted the bulb/holder, and it works quite well. Also will attach to 901/510 batteries with a converter, so in effect all my big battery flashlight mods can be used for what they were designed for as well, lol. Now if I can just find a few more colors..... Pics are of a 901 and 510 switched RCA mod (used the Harbor Freight LED mini lights) and one with the Light attached to a 510 batt and a Solitaire mod (ty Scubabatdan) with the 510 swith.

Well, this made me start looking at my wife's little key-chain light, which has had a bad switch and stopped working. I should have taken pictures while I was assembling it (tricky part is that it's positive shell), but here's the quite ugly result, but I was just screwing around:

Attached to my trusty nosepicker mod (sorry it's dark, wife was asleep while I did all of this):

Turned on:

Shining on a picture on the wall about 15-20 feet away:

Yeah, it's bright, compared to my 3W maglight I'd say it's in the same class, probably about 1W worth of illumination. Certainly too bright to stare at, and quite a lot brighter than the stock light was. Probably doomed to burn out early, but it was broken anyway.
