I will post here my on going thoughts on the GG Slim from day one of the order...

I will update it as I go and will post photos as I go...

So for the 1st post I will cover the order from Vapor Kings

The site is easy to navigate and the check out process was simple... I ordered the GG Slim, 5ea i3 atomizers, a charger and 4ea 10440 batteries (you can never have enough batteries and chargers right?)

Total order was like $249.. Not bad when you think about it...

I ordered on Tuesday afternoon (2-16-10) and the order shipped the same day!

It arrived via USPS mail today (2-18-09) and was packaged in bubble wrap..

As far as the order process and shipping goes I'd have to say A++++

The only thing that would have been nice would have been a nice little owners guide for the device...

Oh, it also came packaged with a nice cloth like case... I would prefer a better case, and I guess they are in the works...

Next up will be 1st impressions....

1st impressions....

Nice, tiny, gorgeous..... Very sleek and slim!

Cleaned it up as it was pretty dirty (see q-tip photos later) and polished it... Nice, shiny and ready to go...

It looks well built. The threads mate with little to no effort and screw in for a nice clean and tight fit...

The end button is very nice but it does wiggle from side to side a bit... It's not an issue and is probably how it was designed... I guess I assumed there would be no side to side play in it.. At any rate, it's really no big deal as it's well constructed and the switch fires each and every time...

The 10440 batteries fit in it like a glove... Easy in, easy out, no rattling at all when they are in and the unit fully assembled...

Overall I am pretty impressed with this little beast...

Sorry for the quality of the photos as they were taken on my BlackBerry (found out the dog chewed through my camera cord when I went to retrieve photos from camera, so I used my BlackBerry)

Next up..... The i3 atomizer, vape, and battery life....

The reason that button moves 0,25mm from each side is because it will never stuck that way Raq.
We still going very good Raq, I am waiting for your responce to i3!

Next up the i3 atomizer

Freaking sweet!!!!!

It's a 901 on 510 steroids and it's not even broken in yet... Thus far I am getting about the same amount of vapor from it (but it's new and not broken in yet, so that may improve) but the throat hit is MUCH better than a stock SLB 901.... And I mean much better! I can compare it to the 510 throat hit without that metal taste the 510's always have...

This is an AWESOME atomizer and well worth the few extra dollars it cost! Well done!!!!!

By the way... I used Halo Freedom 24mg juice

One complaint though.... The atomizer has GG i3 written across it in big black letters and it takes away from the sleek look of the GG... Is there another way to label these atomizers for identification purposes?

I do understand the reason for marking them, but it takes away from the look of the slim in my opinion...

Other than that minor gripe..... IT ROCKS!

Battery life

Has nothing to do with the GG Slim as it's a standard 10440 battery... It's listed at 500mah which is Chinese for 350mah I imagine....

I am a heavy vaper and go through about 5ml a day.... I only drip and generally get about 4 hours from a 14500 (900mah) battery...

Thus far I am getting about 1 1/2 to 2 hours... Of course this is day one and I think one of the batteries I got was bad from the start... I will update battery life as this thread progresses...

Vape

Using the i3 atomizer it's a very nice vape... Awesome throat hit and decent vapor... Again, the atty is new and not broken in yet... I will add before I forget that this atty was NOT pre-filled with that sickening filler that the Chinese attys come with...

Nice warm vapor, awesome throat hit (comparable to a 510 I think) and good vapor production... It is after all a 3.7 device running on one 10440 battery and we need to keep that in mind...

For it's size, the Slim pack a heavy punch all things considered... When paired up with the i3 atomizer it bumps it up even a notch or 2 higher..

Thats all for tonight... I will vape this little beast some more and update the thread again later....

Ask any question you might have and I will try my best to answer them...

I am equally impressed with the i3. I got mine today FINALLY... been waiting weeks for these things. I thought the same thing about the comparison to the 510. I put mine in the AFS and popped in a 18650 and it knocked my socks off. I am able to vape the 18650 again. I missed the long life of the big batt. I will be able to go all day on one battery again.

Nice, I havent tried my i3 atty yet, now I'm looking forward to it!

Usually the only atty I can tolerate at 3.7volts is the 510....The 901 and 801 dont do it for me at 3.7v...but maybe this will change now with the i3 atty.

-Tim

Yes you sure will... It feels like vaping a 510. I had to look at it again to make sure it was actually a 901.

It's certainly got me back into 3.7V vaping. I had forgotten what it was like to last a whole day on a single 18650.........

Morning update:

Vapor Kings

Had an issue with one of the 10440 batteries being DOA.. Opened a ticket and Rob wrote me back at 10:30pm last night... Yes I said PM... Wow, do you ever sleep Rob???

Very, very, very pleased with Vapor Kings.... All I can say is that I am super impressed!

The GG Slim and the i3 atomizer

Shined it up again last night with my NevrDull, took the i3 off to drain overnight and fired it all back up this morning...

Oh ya..... It's a very nice 3.7 vape... The vapor is warm from the i3 and I am getting about the same vapor production as I get with a SLB 901 but the throat hit is substantially better on the i3 than with a SLB 901...

Construction of the Slim is very nice... It's rock solid and looks like it will last forever even though it is so small and light... The threads and grooves are a perfect fit and everything attaches nicely with little to no effort...

End cap / button vaping is the way to go... It's so natural and feels great in the hand... Activation of the button is simple and natural...

GG Slim Pros

--It's gorgeous
--Small, slim and sleek
--End button activation (love it)
--Well crafted / machined to precision

GG Slim Con's (not really cons, but you get the point)

--I have developed OCD with with because it's so beautiful. I am constantly wiping it down (the OCD part)
--I don't want to vape it because it is so gorgeous to just look at.. (OCD again)
--Would liked to have had a Knurled cap for easier removal
--Battery life.. Not really a Slim issue as to get something this small battery options are limited.

i3 Atomizer Pros

--It's a 510 disguised as a 901... It vapes the same if not better than a 510.
--Awesome throat hit... And I mean awesome!
--Nice vapor production.. On par if not a little better than a SLB 901
--Warm vapor and good taste / flavor from the juice

i3 Atomizer Cons

--The GG i3 stamp on the atomizer. I understand the need to identify them but the stamp takes away from the sleek look of the device
--I have to buy more of them now since they vape so darn good.. (not really a con but now I have to go and order 10 more of them $$$$)

Final thoughts
(for now)

The GG Slim is a well made, gorgeous, slim, sleek device... Vapor Kings (the USA supplier of the GG's) is awesome to deal with... Fast shipping and great customer service...

I wish the Slim came with an owners guide and I'd like to see the i3 stamp removed from the atomizer (for cosmetic purposes only as it does NOT effect it's performance)...

A hard case to carry it in would be sweet (my OCD kicking in again) as I be stressing out leaving something so gorgeous unprotected in my pocket....

That is all for now.....

Day 3 with the Slim and the i3...

The i3 atomizers are still kicking away... They ROCK... Anyone who has not tried these yet, has to!!!!

I am however having a slight issue with the device consistently firing (use error perhaps).. At times when I depress the end button I do not get a connection... Anyone else getting this or is it just me or is it possible user error?

The device is gorgeous... I baby my toys and clean it every night, including the threads...

Battery life is on par with what I'd expect from a 10440 battery so no complaints there...

Overall I am still very pleased with it...
