I had to make what will probably be the final post to this thread and probably unread. I've been down and out and depressed over not being able to use my SSGGTS. I finally just gave up and put it on the back burner and Santa Claus, being so kind, brought me an inexpensive VV mod which I like. I wanted to use the 18650 batteries I bought for my SSGGTS with it, but in keeping with my hardware woes, of late, they are 2mm too long to fit! Then the third time I went to recharge my battery my battery charger failed!

I was able to get another battery, and a new charger, from a local vendor about 20 miles from my house.

When I got back home I thought I'd re-charge all of my 18650 batteries; maybe the battery charge was my problem with my SSGGTS -no such luck.

I've been scouring GG threads for any kind of help at all. I remembered somewhere in one of these threads, re: SSGGTS won't fire, imeo said that the problem was with the end cap and or its spring or the switch button.

I disassembled my SSGTS -for about the 20th time- and checked these areas. The end cap was fine.

I decided to take apart the switch button and clean it's varioius parts. I found a little built up gunk on the switch plunger. However when I cleaned the swtich lock ring it was much dirtier. So I decided to clean the spring and examine and clean the switch button.

I could not believe how filthy the threads on the switch button were but I remained cautiously optimisitc since I've been through this routine so many times and it didn't work. I cleaned the threads on the switch button 3 times before I got it clean.

I re-assembled and attached my Vivi Nova Mini and it worked fine. I now have a 306 atty attached to the adapter fittings and am dripping to it with no problem.

I am cautiously optimistic I have finally found the problem with my SSGGTS not firing. Thanks again to the posters to this thread who have tried to help.

I thought I owed the thread, and the posters who have tried to help me, the courtesy of this post. I'll post again only if I'm not getting any fire with my SSGGTS.

the only reason that GG doesnt fire is because its dirty Yard. You first look at the button. Sand with a very very thin sandpaper the pin of the button, the base of the head and the axis that is attached on the venting cap. Thats all. But if you still have issues then you clean with white gasoline all its threads.

Thank you imeo. I'll definitely sand on the button pin a little since it seemed to have "sheen" over it even after I cleaned it with vodka. The threads still seem a bit discolored so I will clean them with white gasoline tomorrow.

It is so nice to be able to use my SSGGTS! It's just wonderful and I think I'm finally out of the woods with my "won't fire" problem.

I just couldn't bring myself to adressing this issue in more depth during the holiday season. I think you know that I'm a pretty positive person and I didn't want to bother you -or disturb any others- with my issue. It appears I was wise to do so and research, your other post, and tenacity have paid off.

Thank you imeo and Happy New Year.

you never bother me yard. GG forum is the place where we can solve all of our issues about GG constructions. I know how I make all GGs and I know that all the issues can be solved very easy. Its a construction that just cant fail. The only it needs is a little cleaning from the user.:)

white gasoline doesnt leave smell yard. It get evaporated. But if you still smell it after 5 mins (I doupt) then a very quick soap-water bath is more than ok

I cleaned the threads on my SSGGTS today with white gasoline (that's unleaded gasoline for anyone who doesn't know). Wow! I almost couldn't believe how much built up goop came off! I went ahead and washed with warm soapy water and a toothbrush and I am so glad I did this and know how to.

Thanks a million imeo....oh yes, it's still 1/1/13 here -Happy New Year!"
