First Impressions
The Halo G6 basic starter kit is packaged a little differently than most e-cigarettes. It comes in a round, metal tin that looks like the ones used for scented candles or Christmas cookies. Its a nice change from the standard flip-top box and is actually reusable. The round shape holds all the kits components nicely without needing extra packaging or taking up too much space. The color scheme is a pleasing and understated blue, black and gray.
The starter kit comes with all the supplies a beginner needs. It includes two batteries, a wall charger, a USB adapter, two blank cartomizers, five pre-filled cartomizers, a cartomizer carrying case and a users manual. The only thing thats missing is a carrying case for the whole unit. The tin isnt something that you can easily stuff in your suitcase or take with you to the office, so a different carrying case would be nice.
For offering a generous starter kit in a novel package, Halo has earned a four and a half out of five points from me. I took off half a point for that missing carrying case.
Battery/Output
The Halo G6 e-cig has the modern look sometimes referred to as next generation. The battery is slim and sleek and has a soft metal finish. You can choose between such fun color choices as Emerald Green, Electric Lime and Midnight Blue. You can also choose a classic white, but the cartomizers only come in black. The Halo e-cig battery also comes in two lengths: 65mm and 78mm. Thats not something most other manufacturers offer. The batteries will last you through two well-filled cartridges. Thats long enough for some people, but I had hoped for a little more staying power.
The batteries come in manual and automatic. I tried automatic and got huge clouds of vapor with very little effort.
So, Halo, you get pluses for your vapor and for offering us a choice of battery lengths, but I cant ignore that disappointing battery life. That makes your score for this category four out of five.
Overall
Overall, Halo offers a pretty satisfying e-cig experience. The company offers several features unique to the e-cig world a tin, different lengths, extra strong nicotine but needs to work on its battery life. All in all, Halo has earned a solid four out of five for its overall score.
