My hubby smoked 2+ packs of non filter cigs everyday. A few years ago he ended up with a triple bypass. He did not quit smoking. A year later he went in for 2 stents. I finally convinced him to start vaping. That was July 5th 2 years ago. It took him about 2-3 weeks to ween off the cigs completely and he hasn't had one since. He hasn't had any heart problems either. Best of luck to your hubby Catmom.

Fran, my husband had a heart attack with stent placement 7 years ago. Quit for year, then we started smoking while we on vacation, and of course eventually that led to full-time smoking. He's been vaping since Aug of last year, off and on (more off then on). I had no trouble quitting once I started vaping (OK, it took me over a month, I wasn't one of those "I quit smoking the day I got my PV!" success stories) but he just hasn't taken to it the way I do. He says he thinks a lot of it is due to the high level of stress at his job.

Funny, I didn't like any tobacco flavors. I spent months trying to find a chocolate I was happy with, then more months trying to make my own. Finally gave up on that and we're both vaping an apple pie/cinnamon danish concoction. No nic, but I still have some premade juices with nic that he's using.

Has your husband tried VV vaping? He can increase the voltage for a stronger kick when he's stressing at work, and he may need a higher nic level, too! I used to vape 12mg all day & 18-24mg when I was stressed out & needed that extra kick to keep me sane, and being able to change my voltage helped as well.

As far as flavors... I didn't like any tobacco flavors when I started vaping, and then I got a bunch of ECBlend samples to take to the Suncoast Vape meets - after about a month, I decided to try dripping a couple of them, and 3 of them have become staples - RY4 DXF with extra vanilla & caramel shots, Green Monster & 7 leaf - they all need a bit of time to steep, but they cure every analog twinge I've had :) Their prices are low, so picking up a couple of 5mls to find out won't be expensive (use code 10020 for 20% off), and they might do the trick in getting him off the stinkies for good!

Fran, DH uses whatever I buy, LOL. He has no interest in researching, reading the forum, etc. That's all up to me. I've thought about VV but haven't done more than think about it. DH won't vape at work. He doesn't smoke at work either. The only "good" thing about when we started smoking again after his heart attack is that we kept it from our families, his coworkers, basically everyone except people we know on the golf course, because we smoked there. Now a lot of those golfers are asking me about vaping, LOL. DH vapes on the course as well, but he also smokes there.

LOL! I hope you convert every single one of those golfers! :)

Catmom, y'all sound like us, but mixed. DH has NO interest in anything but the end product (tho he does LOVE when I read to him from here or show him pics :) ), he just vapes. I do all the research and buying but I'm not doing so well with my smoking and he mostly vapes and smokes very little. Course, we found juice he was 100% happy with right off the bat, where I'm STILL working with my juice guy to get it like I want it!

I use Buzz Pro's and Ipros. Hubby kept telling me he didn't want one because they're too big. I finally got him to try my Original Buzz and after a little use he was sold and he was much happier with his vaping. He's still using that Buzz plus the new one I bought him for Christmas. VV does make a huge difference.

Thanks Fran. I've tried Capella choc fudge brownie and double chocolate. I actually like TPA clear double chocolate the best. But every chocolate I've tried is inconsistent. One carto will taste great. The next carto, filled at the same time with the same juice, won't taste good. And they start tasting burned, and they don't refill well. I've given up. My apple pie juice is consistent, never tasted burned, and I get about 3 refills out of each carto.

Just in case you're interested, Cat, Bryan at Highbrow Vapor does custom mixing and he's a whatever it takes kind of guy! I'm buying all my juice from him now and his stuff has the best flavor of any we've tried (including the bazillion samples I got in the beginning). He's the one who is oh-so-patiently working with me to get my juice like I want it! :)

I hear ya, Cat! I probly should do that, but my patience with the juice AND the hardware is SO poor, I have to have as much ready-made as possible! Still having some trouble with my new one, but I'm pretty sure now it's down to getting better quality cartos than I'm using and user error/learning curve. So I'm thinking it's going to work out. :)
