Actually I already scrapped it because now that I've read a little further, I realized I had no way to know when the thing would be getting undervoltaged, and I read about unprotected batteries. I took the passthrough I had and tried to route the batteries through the circuit board of that thing when I had a BIG revelation... I suck at soldering and electrical thinking.

Watching the blue stuff shrink away from the battery end was my first clue that something was amiss... the thing was getting mighty fricking hot. Dunno what I did, it seemed it was all lined up right and on the right posts.... but... sniff sniffle... I realize I should maybe spend an extra shift nursing and plunk down a hundred or so bux for a decent higher end battery PV (360 mAH just dont get it anymore for me) and I'd end up spending less time in toto... gotta do a prodigy or an adaptever or something like that.

Send your bids to replace the redneck pv with something better....
