My 510 Pass through is dead... what can I do with it now?

My 510 pass through is dead. It looks to me like the board is fried (see attached pic). So the question is, what can I do with it now? I was thinking of just cutting the wires that go to the part that screws into the atty, and wiring it to a battery box with a larger 3.7v battery. Would this work?

I would say use the socket in something else. Just a word of warning, the momentary switch is intended to be used for a control circuit. It died after about 3 days use when I tied it directly in line with the atomizer in a 3.7v mod. I knew it would, but I didn't have anything else on hand at the time, so I didn't really care.

I guess I'll try it and see what happens... My last two 510 batteries are starting to die on me (only about 20 minutes of good vapor, and dead in an hour). I've gone through 9 batteries in the last 6 months (2 of them were duds and died in under a week).
I love the 510 atty, but hate these damn batteries. I'm only getting 4 to 6 weeks out of a battery before it starts to die on me. I'm a bit of a chain vaper I guess you could say. I'm going to be buying some type of 510 mod in the very near future, I just need something to use until I pick one out and get it.

I took my burned up PT's and wired a switch ( 2 amp ) inline , works great , there is no protection but I have used mine for 2 months with no problems on a laptop .
You could find a switch at Radio shack i;m sure . a few tie wraps and some 200 MPH tape .

9 Batteries in the last 6 months? That does not sound right. Im still using my set I got five months ago. They are a little weaker but that does not sound right.

I carry two batteries with me all the time, one in my PCC, and the one I'm vaping. I'll generally recharge them 3 or 4 times each per day. My atty's have been averaging about two or three weeks each. Though I sometimes get bad ones that die after only a few days.

510's are also the hardest on batteries, they get that big vapor production by running a lot of current. Any stock eCig battery is going to have a short life compared to a big-bat or flatpack mod, but it will be most noticeable on a 510.

They're rated for 200 cycles, if you're recharging 3-4 times a day, you can use that up in a couple of months.

I do the same but mix it up with the passthrough when a USB is accessible. I have only had one atomizer blow out in a week. My average atomizer life is probably around 2-3 weeks.

I must be the luckiest guy alive, I've had two atties die since dec last year, the shortest lifespan was about 48 days... and all my batteries are still groovy, with the exception of one auto but it didn't run out of life, I killed it (flooded)

I should have said "200 full cycles". Deep-discharging does reduce battery life.

I have a 510 and am 4 days short of 6 months since purchase.

I'm still on my first atomiser and still getting vapor...

I'm on my third battery - first lasted four and a half months... second lasted a week, third beginning to die now.

I think a large factor to consider when talking about battery or atty life is how much you vape, and when you replace them. Personally, once I notice a drop in vapor production I'll replace an atty. Once battery life drops to 45 minutes, I'll replace it.

You could probably save yourself a little money by taking your old attys and cleaning em. Or hell, I'll take em ^_^ lol.

I do clean them, about once a week or so. Some never work again after cleaning. Others will work again, but die completely within a week or so. Maybe it's because I vape fairly constantly for hours at a time. Maybe because I like to take long drags from it.

If you try cleaning out your dead 510 batteries (boiling doesn't seem to work) I'll take them, LOL I cut off the connectors and use them in MODS. $10 battery still has a $2 connector in it.

lmao same thing JUST happened to my PT yesterday .... sux!! i luved it too!! ... tested all areas with my meter... and the same damn circ board is fried although there isnt any visible damage like on yours. ill be choppin mine up for mods, id really like to see if i could make my own PT,with a AA size batt in it though.

Chuck it and buy a new one. They aren't that expensive anymore.
