There's a little bit of truth to all of the preceding comments.

I've noticed the influx of "new vapers" who are asking questions about very low sub-ohm setups on mechanical mods which quite often scare the bejesus out of me. Either the setup is getting warm to touch, or they are not getting the vapor they expected. For example:

I was wondering if I could vape 0.14 Ohms on a panzer mod with a sony vtc 5 in it? without any battery venting

They often don't own an ohm reader. They're using ICR batteries, or at least using batteries not fit for the builds they are using. Quite often they purchased these setups from so-called "friends" or most alarmingly from a vape shop that should know better. Future lawsuits from personal injuries should put an end to all of that, if not future regulations.

Thank goodness they are coming here to get info. What we veterans must do is attempt to educate these people (if they will listen and take the time to learn the basics). Provide links to help, as people are too lazy to hunt them, or don't know how.

You are always going to get those types in any sort of hobby who has more bravery then sense. I remember when I was a teen, some kid I knew was raving about how he got his hands on some jet fuel and he was going to put it into his dirt bike (I don't remember what happened to him or the bike). And of course every year or so, you will read a newspaper article about how someone blew their hand off playing with fireworks.

JP-4 (jet fuel) is a form of Kerosene, and his dirt bike probably wouldn't even start.

some on here remind me of my trip into a Vape shop where they could not believe I was using cartomizers and small clearomizers. They seemed to think no one was vaping unless they were running above 20 watts. I am handy and an electronics tech I am sure I could make a mod and atomizer that would run 300 watts or so. But why would I want to? I started to get off of cigs, that worked and I have my replacement nicotine now and somewhat enjoy vaping. I have a nice old pickup truck too, but feel no need to put a 426 hemi in it. It serves me well as it is just like my vaping equipment.

I also have some I think valid concerns about the safety of high wattage vaping, time will tell on that one and since I quit smoking for health reasons I want to err on the side of caution.

I have also noticed a lock of understanding for the most part on here about those who do not tolerate some of the ingredients in commercial vape liquid very well....
Most seem to think it is an issue of PG or VG ratio and not an intolerance for the ingredients. Ohh well I have lived with that for years with people not understanding how nutrasweet could taste horrible to me.

btw horizontal coil cartomizers with the polyfill replaced with japanese cotton give some vantastic vapor and big pure flavor.

Anyway I have said my say and will continue to be me.

I guess it's the changing face of vaping. This site is evolving fast and becoming a much more hobbyist hang out than it was before....
And it's not a change for the better.

Maybe we need a "New Vapers" forum in addition to the "New Members" forum
    That's not a bad idea.

well I am an advanced vapor but at the same time I am not , I have advanced builds but I dont have advanced equipment . I started in the new vapor forum because the site wanted to me to have at least 5 posts there before i post here . Ive pretty much tried all the builds ive seen on youtube . I have RDAs and RTAs , actually i use to have RDAs but I got rid of them cuz they suck . I cant stand adding juice every 2 hits .

Currently I purchased the istick and after this purchase , i am not going to be advancing anymore except DYIng my juice . I dont know what is the best way to put this but lets say that ive always treated e-cigs like cigs , i only tried different things at the begining once I found what works best , I stuck with it so it pretty much feels like cigarettes with one extra step which is to clean my atomizers .

Dont be surprised by posts comming from advanced vapors in the new vapor forum because there will obviously be more people like me . Maybe the should rename the forum Noob Forum ( if you are new to vaping post here OR ELSE ) <---- name it like this and keep this section , that solves everything if it annoys you so much

i am beginning to think that most of these type posts are thinly veiled endorsements
or deliberate trashing of said set ups and or juice and have nothing to do with
the "new to vaping vapers" actual experience.
what do you good people think?,or is it tinfoil time?
    :2c:

It's funny to read this because when I got my first high wattage device I use to crank it up to 60-70 watts . Now I have my IPV mini set a 5 and I can't believe how satisfied I am with it. I think it's all just a thrill for some who graduate from ego batteries. More power doesn't mean a better vape.

No, high power isn't everything but some people like it and that's OK. Your low power vape style isn't everything either, but you like it and that's OK too ;)

I am happy you get a thrill from it.
