So, the power button on my iTaste MVP 1.5 came off the other night. I searched the house and couldn't find it. I decided to cut some of the foam from the packaging it came in to make a squishy button instead of using my finger nail. After a day, the foam was too soft to serve as a replacement. A few hours ago, I took a break from cleaning the house and saw it on the floor and jumped with joy. I grabbed my super glue and placed a small drop on the back of the plastic button. WOOOOOOOO, it worked! ...well, that is until the device cut off after the 10 seconds. Due to my lack of patience, my MVP no longer fires. The glue must have dried while it was pressed down, or it spread and sealed it to where contact could no longer be made. I grabbed tweezers and removed what I glued-- and then some. The metal button underneath the plastic button was also removed. I tried scraping it off and fiddling around with it for another few minutes. Flustered, I gave up quickly. VAMO! Just like that, I am without a device.
I finally had an excuse to "look" for a new device. I went down to a local vape shop and left with a VAMO V3 kit and some juice. I am really enjoying it. It was pure torture waiting for the batteries to charge because I lost two ego kits I used as back ups a while ago. It was either order off one of my regular online vendors (pay less, wait for shipping, and probably buy cigarettes), or bite the bullet for instant gratification. I guess I did save money and my health by not buying cigarettes (and not smelling like an ash tray...I forgot how nasty the smell of stale smoke is).
I put the MVP on eBay...it still charges electronics, still powers on, and still fully charges. I just can't shut it off. I no longer will try to fix my electronics with super glue.
