Yep just sitting here on the computer browsing through the good folks on ECF posts and I had an Efest IMR 18650 battery on the Jetbeam i2 pro intellicharger.
Heard a crackle and a hiss and looked down to see sparks coming from the top of the charger!
Lightening reactions, dumped the Vamo and flipped the switch on the chargers plug!

The battery survived and although the charge cycle wasnt complete it`s tested at 3.8v so I`ll put that to one side for now.
I`ve only had the lot (ordered a Vamo and the batteries from the same place) for three weeks! and now I`ve got a Vamo I can`t use once the two Efest 18650 are down to 3.2ish volts :(

I have back-ups in the way of three Ego batteries so I won`t be without a vape but I`ve gotten to like the Vamo and have just worked out the AGA-t2 after a week of fiddling about! :(

Theoretically I could use the AGA on an Ego as I coiled it to 1.7ohm plus I have the usual run of Evods and cartomisers so no panic there.

Has anyone had one of these blow up on them before?
I`m in the UK and we use 240v and all plugs are or should be fused at 13amp (and this one was but it did`nt blow the fuse or trip the RCD in the house!!!)

I`ve contacted the vendor but I`m very dubious about having another one of these!:(

I have had an Xtar go bad on me and ruin a battery. Expert opinion thinks it was a fault in the charger, so my advice since then is to always charge them in a battery bag and never charge them overnight or if you go out and leave them alone.

I have still not heard the end of all the tinsel my wife had to clean or the repainting of the wall. Never try to save money on batteries, chargers or decent tools is my motto now!

I`ve only had it three weeks! I was sitting by the side of it when it started sparking so managed to flip the switch before it got any nastier!
I never leave Li-po`s or Li-Mn`s un-attended! too risky!
This is supposed to be the from the same manufacturer as the Nightcore (but who can tell with all the Chinese factories churning out stuff!)

The battery is good :) just checked it on the multimeter so thats one less thing.
I`ve contacted the vendor and am waiting for a reply but I won`t have another one of these!

Mean time I`ve re-coiled my Evods down to 1.7Ohm so i can get a decent vape out of the Ego`s, going to miss the Vamo though until a new charger comes through.

Who`d have thought eh? I have back-ups and back-ups for my back-ups! but no back-up charger!!!

It's a royal PITA! but at least you are not bereft of vape and your wife talks to you still - mine gave me hard stares for days - like i willed it to happen! lol.

It has never happened since, but i think the tendency is to get a bit lazy with batteries since we use them in so many things daily. As an aside - i'd also toss the one that was in the charger regardless. Batteries are fairly cheap and i don't really want anything that is not 100% inches from my face!
