I have been vaping nearly exclusively for about 6 months now, with the occasional analog while waiting for badly timed orders to arrive. I was lucky enough to get a Provari for xmas, and i am happy as can be with it. I wanted to share some of my experiences with y'all to see if you have any pointers, and to let others at my experience level know what did and didn't work for me.

I first started out with a 510 battery starter kit from Libertyflights. It worked really well at first, but i started having issues with the batteries after a couple months. They didn't hold a charge as long, and i had to take longer and longer drags to get the amount of vape that i like. I broke one of them somehow, so i got some replacements that worked much better. What i learned there is that the inexpensive batteries are not a permanent solution, as they will need to be replaced from time to time as performance goes down.

I started with an atomizer, but couldn't get the hang of it, and got really frustrated with constantly tinkering with them to get the amount of vapor i wanted.

After getting my first pack of Boge cartomizers i was hooked. I fell in love with the cartomizer because you could just fill it and go. No need to drip or tinker. I work from home, and am on the phone for 8 hours a day, so the carts allowed me to puff as i went and just swap out carts when one started getting dry.

I ended up picking up a pack for Gotvapes.com Fluxomizers and fell in love all over again. Up until recently they have been my cart of choice. I get awesome clouds of vapor, and i get a better taste from my juices. There is a bit more upkeep, but now that i have learned how to properly clean and dry burn them, i am getting a much longer life span than my first batch. The down sides to the CE2 style carts is that since they have the coil on the top i was running in to issues with my drip tip/mouthpiece getting really hot, and my lips getting burnt/chapped. I was also running in to issues with getting juicy puffs where liquid would end up in my mouth. I was able to minimize that by fiddling with the seals to get the perfect balance between wicking and being sealed.

After lurking on ECF as much as i do, and dealing with a case of burnt lip, i decided to give the boge style carts a second chance, but this time using a tank. I got the BigDaddy tank from bigdaddyvapor.com and 5 extra 1.5 ohm dual coil punched carts. It is working really well so far. I like the fill and go aspect of it, as i am pretty lazy, so having a day or more of liquid in a fill ready to go is awesome. After about 3 fills on the first carto i noticed the clear liquid i was using was turning brown. I also noticed the draw was getting tighter and tighter and i was needing to prime the cart by taking 3-4 drags without power more often than at first. I was really hoping to get a longer life span out of these cartos with the tank, but considering the amount of liquid passing through, and that it was my first one, i am not giving up yet.

The cartos that i got along with the tank are punched with a single hole, so i took one of them and punched a second hol on the other side. I dumped the thick dark brown liquid out of the tank and trashed it. I cleaned the tank out really well and put in the new carto, filled it, primed it, and starting vaping. This time around i am getting much more vapor, and have yet to get any of the gurgling i have heard about and seen on youtube videos. I am on my second fill and have yet to see any brown coming out of the holes in the carto. I am really hoping that i will get a longer life out of this one.

The first carto i used has been cleaned out and a 2nd hole punched in it, i am hoping to get a second use out of it. This will be my test to see if it is going to be worth cleaning them at all. My thoughts are that if i clean them up every couple tank fills, before they get uber gunked up, i may be able to get more fills out of them before i have to replace them.

I have been using these 1.5 ohm dual coil carts at about 3.8 volts, occasionally going up and down by a 0.1 or so.
I am using the Yipes Stripes liquid from Gotvapes.com. I like it, but not as much as i like the Swedish fish juice from the same place. (they are currently out of stock).
I feel like i get better flavor out of the flux cartos, but with more tinkering, and burt lips.
I feel like the tank/carto is more consistent and easy to use but with less flavor.

So that's my story, If anyone has any questions or tips i would love to hear em!
