Failtacular (Tank)

So let the fantastic festival of Failtacular fortune continue! Turns out that the RY4 I like so much has a different taste to it at a higher voltage on a lower ohm system. That additional flavor: smoke. Literally, it has a smokey flavor to it when it gets hotter that I didn't know about, had the guy at Kalamazoo Vapor shop verify that I was filling my tanks right, he even tried with his own drip tip to make sure I was right. Got home and filled another tank with my Pure MI, since these two have become my all day vapes, and voila, yummy sweet hot strawberry apple vapage.

I was watching a video from Grimmgreen and he was saying his Smoktek cartos were having issues. They kept flooding on him. I bought one carto tank, since I saw them everywhere when I started, and I'm having carto problems too. It seems like a lot of people are having carto problems these days (Bogegate) so I mostly use Vision Vivi Nova's...I love them. I have 2 of them and I'm going to get more.

Btw isnt that Pure Michigan nice? I love the stuff. That and Mister E Liquid's cola are my 2 all day vapes right now.

I love Pure MI, it's a nice fresh picked strawberry taste, not cheap candy strawberry. I'll have to try the cola, I get afraid of flavors like that usually because I love pop and fakes always taste flat or messed up somehow.

I really liked the Mtn Dew they have, but I got a bunk bottle with little flavor the last time I ordered it. They are sending me a new bottle which I should get soon. If thats like the first bottle I got, its my 2nd favorite

So Lbox88, did you come to a conclusion of what the issue was initially?

Did you get different carto's with different resistance? What did you get?

It was a mater of this fluid with a hotter coil actually gets a smokey flavor to it. I'm still using dual coil cartos, I have one tank full of the RY4 from MEL, with a single hole, my other tank is full of pure MI with a 2 hole carto. Both work well, it just took adjusting to the smokey flavor I now get that I didn't on a 2.5 ohm clearo at 3.3V.


So in other words, it was user error.

I'll have to remember that....add it to the checklist of things for discussing with new vapers. Question 1 - Are you using a "burnt flavor" juice of some kind?

Seriously tho, as I vape this tank I feel so ......ed for thinking it was a burnt coil/cart

Don't be sad!!!!! It's all good. Learning experience.

It usually IS a burnt coil/cart. 99.9999% of the time. So it's a normal assumption.

If you do run into a burning situation with the other juice...just remember that a carto can't burn unless it's dry somewhere at the coil. Wet = no burn. You were filling it OK...so it's a natural question.
