my joyetech ego-c leakage solved

I have been a longtime smoker but have not had a cigarette in 12 days now. I bought the ego-c starter kit and have been using it for the past 12 days. I was having major problems with leaking all around the seams and losing liquid. It was like a sieve. I even called the distributor who I bought it from who said I was probably sucking too hard on it. I tried to pull on it easier but that did not help. I was going nuts. The booklet that came with the kit said to push the tank cartidge into the atomizer until you hear it click. I did that when I first started using it so there was the hole in the tank. But yesterday I finally just pushed and twisted the tank cartirdge which pushed it down into the atomizer cone farther. That worked and has kept it from leaking. How simple!!!! The booklet fell very short in explaining that. I have been reading on the internet and watched several videos on YOUTUBE about leakage but none of them addressed the issue as being that you need to twist the tank to push it all they way down into the atomizer. I decided to write about my problem in this forum so that anyone else who is having a leakage problem that this may be their problem. It took me 12 days to get it figured out on my own. I was about ready to throw the whole e-cig kit away.:)

Hi welcome to ECF, congrats on 12 days and a HUGE congrats for providing a fix for eGo tank system users. If you have further leakage don't throw the eGo C away A's it's a great PV. I bought an 1100 mah eGo C for a convert 6? weeks ago WITHOUT THE TANK SYSTEM for $50.00- instead it came with 4 Clearomizers and he's been happily Vaping/ smokefree all that time.
Happy Vaping.

I still keep having this problem, i have changed out the cartomizer (or whatever its called with the wick, sorry I am new) and my e cig still leaks all over me every single day. If my tank is not 3/4 or more full, it leaks. I clean it out, fill it up, and all is good until under 3/4 to empty, it leaks. I am so frustrated and I have watched videos and read up on it and nothing. Nothing I do works! I am so frustrated :(

I started with the ego-C witht he same tank system. I also fought with the leaking. The thing that finally pushed me over the top was the cost of the atomizers for it and how little time they lasted. I bought some nice clearomizers CE5's and a protank to use on the same batteries I started with and have been a happy vaper ever since.

Have you tried the soft plugs made of silicon ? I haven't yet but in some other forums they seem to take care of the problem.

I tried those. They come unpunched (no hole) and I had a bad time getting the atomizer to punch the hole. Punching it myself with a needle didn't make a large enough one and I ended up burning an atomizer because it wasn't getting wet enough. Enlarging the hole sent me right back to the leaking. SOme people have luck with them. I didn't.

Thats funny because I have, but never used the silicon. In fact, I just trashed 1 tank cartridge, my first, from the original Joyetech kit that I bought and started using JUNE 19th 2012. I don't use it as much as I did last June-Sept, but I upgraded to a Bulli-Smoker based on that design that I found worked very well, didn't leak for me and gave great flavor in an indestructible little package. And now its easier to maintain and rebuild. :D

hi guys, new to vaping and had a frustrating time with the ego c leaking through the air vent on the adaptor half way through the tank. tried everything from changing atties to tanks. finally tried the last thing and changed the adaptor ring and success! turns out the adaptor ring was defective. now to try and fix the defective ring i pressed down on the small perforated cylinder at the battery end and tightened the slotted pin end with a small driver. Seems to have fixed the leak and working fine for 2 days now. Guess it was not properly tightened during assembly. Try this if nothing else works. i use a 50 50 mix. best of luck.
