What would happen if all 20 million smokers quit and vaped electronic cigarettes instead?
The tobacco companies would go bankrupt.
The Government would go bankrupt not getting that 35 billion dollars a year from smokers buying cigarettes.
Hospitals would go bankrupt because of the 400,000 people a year not needing all that medical care before they die of tobacco related illness.
Social Security would go bankrupt because not enough people were dying , therefore needing their retirement.
Medicare would go bankrupt because they would be covering alot more people who live longer and didn't die from tobacco related illness.
The Parmaceutical Industry would go bankrupt because no one would have to buy their cessation devices that are only 3-6% effective after one year. And all those medications and treatments not needed for all those ill or dying of tobacco related illness.
The anti-smoking associations would not have smokers to gripe about . Their reason for raking in contributions would be gone.
Ex-smokers would not have to endure being treated like social outcasts anymore.
And you ask why the FDA wants to ban electronic cigarettes? Even if 50% or 25% of smokers quit smoking because of the electronic cigarettes, it would be devastating to all of the above.
This is why the government and all of the above want smokers to keep smoking even tho they say they want smokers to quit. And why the FDA will tell you that e-cigarettes are not safe. Safe for who?
