I would love to see that 2 cr123 pvc mod, hell I would be happy with just one cr123.
Can't wait to see some pics of the PVC mod.
I just got back from my local RS, hadn't been in a year, and they didn't even have battery boxes anymore. The electronic parts section is getting smaller and smaller. Gotta make room for all those damn cell phones I guess.

It is the battery spring . Maybe I can get some work done on it today.Got to go back to RS and get some charging plug's to put in on the side. That way I can just plug it up to the pc and use and charge it all at the same time.NOTE: It will not be that long(pvc pipe), just long anouth to get 2 CR2 battiers in it.

I have been looking everywhere on sourcing battery springs, the only place I came up with required a minimal order of 50$. And I don't need that many. Also your idea of a 2-in-1 mod is genius!
A Few things u can do if you don't need many springs.
Free or cheap: Take them out of a push button pen
Or if u want better ones, go to Ratshack & buy some of the cheap battery holders ($1.99_ and take the springs with plate out, and u can use the wire off it.

Can I be first in line? Pretty please? This sounds like an Uber cool mod and really lightweight too. It would be awesome to charge batteries without removing them.

I chuckle when I look at everybodys mods, it's really hard, because of the parts involved, not to make these things look like improvised explosive devices. If we had some kind of modder's convention we all had to fly to, no one would make it!

update, I put this mod together with the two battery set up and fried 3 att.So I cut the PVC down so it would work with just one CR2. Work's great. Going to make some changes to my next one that I am working on now.Pic's to come.
were you using 3.0 or 3.6 v cr123 batts ?

It would be much easier for most people to build than a steel one, in terms of ddrilling holes. The caps are held by tight-fit alone I guess, right?
