Here is the newest 5v mod I made. This one is using 2 14250 batteries in series with a KA378R05 5v regulator in 2xAA box. Also put in a fast changing LED because I like the light. Parts came from Mark at madvapes. He is really great to do business with.

Please disregard the horrible wiring, I am going to clean it up later.

Nice...did you use the control on the reg or leave it open? Can't tell from the pic.

Yes, used the control. Been vaping on the same batteries for almost 8 hours now. Lasting much longer than anticipated. I'm now trying to make the same thing in a single AA flashlight that just happens to have a pushbutton on/off switch on the bottom. Since my soldering skills really suck it is much more difficult, especially trying to mount a 4mm tactile switch in the tube. I've even eliminated the LED for the flashlight one and I'm still having space issues.

Looks good. Is the box from Madvapes too? It must be longer than most. I had to do some cutting and put my batteries on the side without the switch.

Yep, everything was from Madvapes except for the RCA connector which he didn't carry at the time. I had to remove the plastic pieces that kept the metal tabs for the batteries in place and also cut the spring almost completely off. The batteries fit, but just barely. I just ordered some 1xAA boxes that I am going to try and do into 5v boxes. His 1xAA boxes are unique in that they have a half size channel so I might be able to fit everything in.
