I have a prototype but I am still at the drawing board. Input is appreciated!! I used a "cuboz" 18650 battery case from madvapes, a little hot glue and a little jb weld kwik plastic. Along with MV's battery contact clips. The switch can be found at RadioShack(2/3$)

Before I made it I was restrained to a single 650mah ego. (I have made other 18650 mods but I keep braking them) on new years eve my ego died 30 minutes before midnight, with all the analogs floating around mixed with the alcohol I regrettably resorted to an American spirit. Furious with myself for braking my 7 month streak, I then Made this mod and retired the ego to my backup. It's not pretty, it's simple as can be and gets the job done. But I would like to expand on it to make it more attractive. Any ideas?

Looks good. I would look into adding a master switch to avoid pocket switch on. Also you may want to recess the carto into the housing to make it more compact and drop proof. For beautification I would look into something like rubber drip (for tool handles). It comes in a few colours and can be used creatively ... if you that way inclined. For bling factor maybe a touch sensitive mosfet switch since you have space.

Hard to see with those tiny pics.

Looks kinda like one I built, but I took a leaner less complicated approach using stuff I had laying around.

Those silly Smok Jumbos can be problematic with my eGo connectors so I built the one you see. It can also use my Para style vial tank.

That's my idea of a stealth mod, using a real battery, an 18650, and unencumbered by any performance robbing mosfets or mechanical switches.

Great battery choice BTW.

Woh...I just received a pair of 18650 Trustfire's today and for what ever reason they came in that exact box (normally they're just shrink wrapped together...I'm making one of those...a good "don't sweat it if you lose it" mod...
FWIW it's also a high end performer, squeezes everything possible out of the cell.

Looks like a couple of 18350's would fit, with room on top for a regulator. :)

@willyb: I love the simplicity of yours but I've found it hard to secure the atty connector. Whether in using hot glue, epoxy, or what have you. Any tips?
Well that's part of the reason you see the brass tube and the small copper pipe cap. The 18ga wire from the switch and the 'L' shaped brass tubing provide a whole lot of support (and very, very little resistance)., There is only a couple of dabs of contact cement top and bottom. I was gonna run a a piece of soldered tubing across the very top, side to side, to lock it all in place with a press fit, but doesn't seem needed so far.

If you had some tubing a few well placed 'struts' soldered to the connector would help greatly.

A man after my own heart; I prefer clean straight simple construction and that one fits all three categories. Nicely done....
