I'm using the wall wart via the usb chargers that came with it from myvaporstore.com . I hear people talk about charging a battery in 2-3 hours or so, is that really possible? Is the twist version different and takes much longer?

I do get pretty good life out of them once charged.... I tend to chain vape gorilla and bobas bounty juice (really trying to quit smoking). I usually get 8 to 10 hours a battery (which seems normal). These are genuine joyetech products , but the charger seems generic with no labels on wart and usb piece.

Just curious from those who have them.

Love the forum by the way.

Could be... but I'm probably past warranty at this point.

OP probably got the same one as me if he bought from same place. My dad has the same one and I think it takes him about 5-6 hours for a full charge as well. Also... I'm feeling really dumb for not thinking out the basic math you pointed out. I'll use my excuse where I do math all day and tend to forget to do it once I'm done.

Scroll down the screen and choose the Joye fast charger (not the Riva). They offer 20% discount for ECF members (click the button in the upper left corner before you cart stuff or it won't work).

Oops--out of stock. Never mind...

This has no logo on it...generic....the battery itself is and looks genuine.... I thought perhaps using a surge protector was perhaps causing problems, but used a wall outlet by itself in the kitchen and same results. I purchased the kit on March 20 2013 and is well within even a 14 day warranty / return period (haven't looked at the site yet, think it's 30 days). So will email or create a help desk ticket and get to the bottom of this... I chose myvaporstore because of genuine joyetech ego products and than they go cheap on the battery kinda irks me a bit.

The markings on the usb say

    Model USB-A
    Input DC 5V
    Output DC 4.2V----420mA

    Wall Wart says

    AC-DC Adapter
    Model KB 800B
    Input AC 100V-240V
    50/60Hz/0.1A
Output DC 5V plus minus (as a fraction) 0.5V
DC 500 plus minus (as a fraction) 50mA

So yeah the math doesn't add up and wanted to be sure the twists were maybe different lol.... I can see an hour difference, but over twice as long is just plain BS. Thanks for the input guys.

the rub is this is sold as the fast charge and I purchased an extra one and a wall wart and bought another battery from them last week. Will let you know how this was handled with an update. Not the end of the world, just the principal.

Nice, the specs are OK. You got the right chargers, but there is something wrong with their performance, Like you said, the math doesn't add up.

That said, it's entirely possible that Joyetech makes their chargers and just slaps their logo on them--it is often done with batteries, but not so often with chargers, though.

Then there is Chinese QC... :D

Hmm where would one even find a genuine Joyetech charger? I'm not usually too worried about knockoffs but this time it's different. I looked through all of the sites I've ordered off of and don't think any of them are genuine.

Here's what a genuine Joyetech USB charger looks like:

And they are in stock! :)

Well this is the company response in the vendors section. To say the least it doesn't surprise me and I have no responded to it yet. Feels like they have been to this rodeo many times before lol. Need coffee stat! Hopefully others will read and choose a different vendor to buy their products. Feels like a bait and switch (mild one lol). They give reviews to the charger that were probably the genuine product, making people think it will charge quickly. They don't state charge times in the description, but reviews give you the idea it only takes 2-3 hours.... not cool in my book.

Nice, if the vendor says that they are genuine Joyetech, I have no reason to doubt them. Putting vendors' logos on cartomizers, batteries and, apparently, chargers, is pretty common. If one orders enough, one can request a logo. Nothing unusual about this. Tornado batteries are made for Totally Wicked by Joyetech and they all sport the Tornado logo, for example.

This pic just reminded me that my charger did come in a Joyetech box! Maybe just crappy Chinese QC is to blame.

Could be the wall charger part too right? I might try a different 500 mAh wall charger part tomorrow.

Yup. You may try charging from your computer USB port and see if does any better. But some computer ports do not supply enough power... Catch 22... :D

I have a custom built (by me) PC with a 1,000 Watt power supply... which is exactly why I won't charge anything e-cigs from it haha.

I don't blame you. I never charge from my computer--I've seen too many charging accidents, melting batteries, shorts--not worth it.

Get a new set of chargers--a wall adapter and an USB--if money is no object. It's always a good idea to have a backup. Those things do fail. And you don't want to be without a charger.
