You see, I used to carry a zippo with me at all times, and was always fiddling with it. This might be one of the reasons I enjoy the Reo so much; If you're nervous or bored you can slide the door up and down and annoy anyone within earshot of you(just kidding, I would never do that on purpose...probably). Recently though, I accidentally figured out how to actually fling the door completely off, one-handed. I don't know if anyone else will find this interesting or fun, but I'm enjoying it. I took a picture to make this easier to explain. I start off with it closed and lightly resting on my ring finger. While holding the body with my index and middle finger I use my thumb to slide the door down against my ring finger, so it looks like this:

Now all I have to do is keep pressure applied with my ring finger, and when I let my thumb slide off, scha-link! I usually just do it with just enough pressure to slide up and right back down, but it's easy to make it go flying off somewhere. For this reason I try to be careful in my car, since I've had to go digging between my seats searching for my Reo door more than once.

Anyway, I don't know if this particular nervous habit has been mentioned before. Hopefully someone will find this amusing. If so, I apologize in advance to anyone who has to spend any time near you(my girlfriend hates this)!

On the metal REO's I put my thumb in the squonk hole and flick the door up, then let it fall back down!

On the wood REO's I usually just put my thumb on the door and push it up and let it fall down. I like falling wood better! LOL! It clunks!

Oh, and it can be heard over the phone. I have been called out a few times for clunking a wood door!

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one! That was fun reading, Rhapsodies, thanks for killing a bit of my workday! :D

The bad thing though, is that I now have something else to learn...just a few minutes ago, while reading those other threads, I did something else new: I was (of course) flicking my door up, it came completely off and the atty/drip tip "caught" my door through the hole!

I haven't been able to repeat this yet, but I can't stop trying. Good thing my boss is not in the office at the moment.

Haha, I've only had my REO Grand for a week and I've already found myself subconsciously sliding the door up and down too! And yes, it does drive people nuts! :)

My Reo is also fairly new, while in class when it is past time for a break I find myself fiddling with the door of the Reo, the instructor quickly dismisses us LOL Small Business class is so boring with such a monotone instructor!
