I have used this for a week now. Well, I have had to actually say it 3 times, because most of the time no one bothers me.
I've taken to wearing my PI around my neck on an eye glasses cord. I use a Riva SE. If I'm in someplace like Wal-Mart and I am stopped while vaping, I simply say,
" I'm not smoking. This is my Personal Inhaler. I smoked for 22 years and had to quit and so now, I have to use this and it helps me."
That's all I say.. and wait for the response. Most of the time people will make the leap that "Inhaler " with "Smoked for 22 years" and "now this helps me", means that I must be using a medicated inhaler and I need this to breathe. They tell me it's o.k. and I can use it.
I haven't lied once. I am just not volunteering information that I feel they do not need to know. It's not my problem if people jump to incorrect conclusions. LOL
Now, I also don't go blowing large clouds out. I inhale, hold it, and exhale through my nose. Not too much vapor comes out so it doesn't look like i'm trying to mimic smoking. This coupled with the above, lets me vape pretty much anywhere. I also do not chain vape in buildings. only when I really need a hit. I bet this would even work in church. LOL
I think people see that I'm not trying to be really obvious or obnoxious about it so that helps make it more o.k.
Now if I'm outside and someone asks me what I'm doing, that's a different story. I blow big clouds outside, just not in anyone's face. Outside I tell them what it is and why I use it.
