I received my first KFL clone in the mail today from FT. (Actually it's the first order from FT that has arrived yet, but the third order I placed. Still waiting for the wooden drip tips that were shipped in January.) Look how well proportioned it is on a 650 mAh Ego.

It is a genuine SvoëMest, as you can see by the logo. No cheap svoemesto copies here, nosir, only genuine SvoëMest. ;)

It's not only a Kafyn Lite, it is actually so lite they even trimmed down the logo. I think I will kall it my Kayfun Ultralite.

It came with an thin ugly coil wrapped around some silica that was tucked down into the juice channels. I measured the resistance, and it was "low". No surprise, the coil was wrapped with the legs on top, and rested on the deck. No lifting could make it stay up, so I promptly ripped it out.

Come to think of it, the short may also have been caused by the positive terminal sitting at an angle. Straightened it with some pliers, threw in a 30 awg microcoil that I made during a coil mass producing frenzy a few days ago, and spilled half a millilitre of my most expendable e-liquid over my hands when I filled it up. It vaped fine, so I sucked out the juice with a needle bottle and proceeded to top fill it again with a slightly finer liquid, again spilling half a millilitre all over my hands. It still vapes good, but there's some persistant drooling going on from the air hole.

I guess I will have it figured within a week or two. Anyway, just wanted to share my new piece of art ... um ... shart? :D Nah, I'm sure it'll make a completely decent atty in time.

CleVegas TN.
Have you read up on the filling methods? Could be causing the leakage, there are two important methods to filling these atty's. Top fill requires holding the air hole and creating a vacuum by turning it upside down until the air is above the juice, then release air hole and screw the cap all the way on. The second is a fill hole, if your model had one. And It requires a special tip not the metal needle tips. Good luck, and nice totally "proportioned" setup you got there =]

First Kayfun huh?
FT $14 Model?
Got one a few weeks ago. Impressive little thing.
Yes, that's the one, and my first Kayfun. I have used BCCs and a Squid RDA until today. Your FT KFL is missing the "e" too?

Practice makes perfect. Your wick is causing the drool.

How come? Is it too short, too thin, or did I not place it right? I made sure it did not cover the juice channels. The coil has an inner diameter of 1.3 mm, and the wick reaches the bottom and then some, but there is much less cotton than in some of the videos I have watched.

I have watched some videos and read some posts. The tank has a bottom fill hole, but I don't want to be dependent on it, so I plan to continue spilling juice until I get it right.

Yeah, I'm getting used to it, and it rocks. I have managed to top fill it once without spilling more than a couple of drops. (The fill hole requires a screwdriver, and my days of wearing a leatherman 24/7 are long gone.)

I have also managed to top fill it once without putting the bottom screw in first, spilling everything. Another reason not to use the fill hole in my book. ;)

I can definitely see myself with more of these Kayfun thingies in the future. And I will get a nano kit the next time I place an order at FT.

Somewhere out there
I just got one of these $14 "SvoeMest" clones a couple of days ago. The fill screw head doesn't snug down flush with the bottom, the positive post machining is crude. But it vapes like a champ. I top fill and get no leaking. The size of the airhole is just right for me. I think all the parts are stainless. The wire capture screws work well, unlike the round bottom screws on one of my other clones.

I polished off the silly logo in a few minutes. With a little overall polishing with a jewels cloth, the whole thing has a decent appearance now, clean and simple. All the threading is good.

For the price of a protank, I'm quite pleased with it.

Someday I'll file down the screw head or dremel the fill hole bevel in the base larger, to get rid of the one last little nit.

Verify it is the Taper and not the little clear o-ring getting hung up. Also inspect the fill Screw threads.(some were garbage)

All 3 of mine are fully functional with no defects.

The missing O is a stamping machine error, not spelling. Look at the right side of the M it is lighter in color - less contact. The machine missed striking the O all together. My last 2 were correct.(would have preferred No Logos - they look cleaner)
I guess all those O's are floating around somewhere.

............And I will get a nano kit the next time I place an order at FT.

The nano kit won't fit the gen-u-wine svoemest. The bottom section of the chimney is too short. FT has another inexpensive unit than looks like it should work, and it and the nano kit both would still be under 20 bucks.

Mine is vaping great as well btw. :vapor:

That was mostly for the LOLz. ;) I use it on my Provari Mini right now. (Unfortunately the beauty ring I received in the mail today causes the center pin to lose contact, so I'm going to have to do something about something later tonight.)

But the pictured setup does work, and with a 2 ohm coil, I can see no practical reason (other than the ridiculous top-heaviness) not to use it like that.

Looks way better on an iTaste 134 though. Or on the Provari, when I get it to work with that goshdarn beauty ring.

I think all the parts are stainless.

I actually think so too. After I widened the drip tip hole a little bit with a carbide thingy, I know at least the top part seems to be steel all the way.

Yeah, probably. I have a nemmy clone in the mail, but suddenly that doesn't do me any good, because I managed to break the center pin on my "SvoëMest" when trying to adjust to the perfect length for the beauty ring. Oh well, lesson learned. Back to my PTs for now, and some new orders placed at FT.

I've found that I don't much like the single piece center pin design of the KFL. Other than that, well I ordered a new "SvoëMest" plus a Russian clone, and I am going to order even more Kayfun clones now. Once I tried them, I can't live without them.

Mine slobbered out of the air holes till learned how to fill it.

I have to fill it from the top about 2/3 full then barely Putin the top cap about a half twist. Then turn it upside down and start tightening it up slowly till it see the juice purge towered to mouthpiece. Them finish tightening it down the rest of the way. Last I vape it till the gurgle stops and I'm golden. It sound like a lot of work but it's well worth it. Kayfun is hands down my go to vaping tool and my new hcigar Sentinel M16 has made that much more enjoyable.

Bud, it's a clone. The real KFL does not have a logo on the side. It's on the bottom (I know because I bought off SvoëMesto ). But other than that, I'm glad you like it. If you get a chance you might like the aqua too
