Bought a eleaf ijust2 yesterday. My first Vape mod. I primed Atty like instructed by yojtjbe, filled tank half way with pure VG oil, and I CANNOT INHALE. The vape feels like I'm swallowing lava it burns my throat and makes me cough like all hell. Please help ?! I wanna be able to take large hits and inhale without destroying my throat. P.s) the drip tip gets SUPER hot after taking a 3-4second hit, and recommend fix?
Welcome to the forums! My first thing to note, is you probably did a "dry hit"... It does sound like your atomizer was fired dry. If you had a coil that had cotton, you probably ruined the cotton in it.
Here's some information that might help. Some of this might seem like an overly simple explanation, but it might help in what's going on.
Atomizers use a heating coil to "boil" the liquid in an atomizer. When you first get your device, it comes with the heating coil wrapped around cotton. As you supply power, it heats up the coil. IF there is juice on the cotton, it will boil the juice, and keep the coils from getting too hot. If the cotton is dry, then it will allow the coil to get hotter than usual, and get hot enough to actually BURN the cotton. once the cotton is burned, you either have to replace the cotton of you can, or get another coil.
VG is the thickest component in Ejuice, having the consistency of Vegetable oil. Because of that, some atomizes have a hard time wicking a high VG based liquid. If you have your mod set to too high of a power setting, you could be using the juice faster than the coil can wick, causing the coil to go dry. Looking at the ijust 2, I don't see any way you can change the power of the unit. Because of that, you cannot lower the power to allow the juice to catch up. I would try using a higher PG based fluid to thin out the juice, and allow it to wick faster.
