Just wanting to share my experiences so far.

A little about me. I am a nerd with OCD and my friends say I am a cheap Chuck! What this boils down too is I like to do a lot of research and not spend money If I don't have to.

My Story: Before last Thanksgiving I was looking into vaping to quit dipping. I was spending around $30 a week on dip. I saw the ecig kits at the grocery store and thought I would do some research. I found these forums and got really confused. So I started asking questions on here and got some really good answers. I then saw a lady at work vaping on a ecig and asked her a few questions and she loaned me a battery and a couple of cartos for the Thanksgiving weekend. The cartos were menthol and she told me she got them monthly and had gone to 1 pack a week of real cigs between her and her husband. So I tried them for the weekend. The one battery had to be charged several times per day. Found out later it was like 180mah.

I knew I wanted to do the vaping thing at this point but didn't like having to charge the cigarette looking ecig so often. So I asked the question on ECF what I should start with and got the run around from some and then others said to get an ego battery and a clearomizer. So I ended up getting 3 ego 1100mah starter kits which came with a 1100 battery, starduster style clearomizer and a charger. I picked them up for $18 each. I ordered 6 extra clearomizers that were rebuildable "you can change the coil and wicks out". I had researched that a lot of people loved the Kangers and Vision clearomizers so I ordered 3 of each. Ok do you see the pattern of 3 here Nerdy OCD! So far I have the equipment but no juice. So I ordered 3 sample packs of juice from different vendors. This was Thanksgiving weekend and I got everything on the following Wednesday!

I filled everything up and started vaping. My last dip was Dec. 5th 2012. I remember this because it is my birthday, what a good present I gave myself.

Mid December I decided I wanted to try a mod and caught the "Vamo" on special and ordered it. I love it I can charge the battery and vape for about 2 or 3 evenings in between charges.

I watched some youtube videos on how to DIY juice and have now started making my own ejuice. I can mix my own juice for about $2 per 60ml. What a savings.

So now I am researching rebuildable tank atomizers.

My advice is to figure out what size of ecig you want and jump in. I feel that the advice to get the ego battery and clearomizer was good sound advice and that is what I would suggest.

I also used to be a dipper. No dip and no smokes certainly makes a person feel better. Over 6 months dip free, and 11 weeks analog free for me. I wish I would have done some more research and just jumped right in to my Vamo, it is definitely a nice little APV. I suppose all's well that ends well. I have it now, and I am much happier than I was with my Jet kit and my Ego kit.

Congrats to you, wonderful success story. Sounds like you are enjoying vaping and learning as much as you can about it. Keep learning, keep trying new things, and keep vaping.
