Sounds like you are a lot like me when it comes to something... all in or nothing! It must be nice to be in SF as I bet there are a ton of B&M stores around. Not so much around here in MA so I pretty much have to wait on the mail man for everything.

you would think so, but I've only heard of two. there are more ......... dispensaries than vape shops in the city; shows you what the priorities are ;)

Wow, that's surprising. I would have though the haight ashbury area would have had a ton. I passed through there a few times when I was stationed on Treasure Island in the military years ago. If ever there was a place I would expect to see vape shops it's there!

lots of "head" shops, selling all sorts of paraphernalia, but ecigs/vaping isn't yet cool among the 13 to 24 demographic

I started with ego C upgrade 650 and 1000 mah passthroughs with cartos. Later bought but hardly used VV usb mini passthroughs mostly for backup and a Vamo and batteries for it also for backup. About a month ago, I got two eroll PCCs and now have 9 batteries I use with them and I'm very happy with them. I do continue using the egos but use the eroll more. They deliver everything the ego does other than taste as its a tank system and I still use cartos on the egos. I just use stronger flavors with it.

I've been vaping for a little over 3 years already and just now, this is my actual first post on ECF as I've only lurked on this site lol.

Any who, the E-Cig that stated it all in this particular order was:

1) Titan 510
2) Ego T's
3) Ego C's
4) Firefly's

Then once I went to Mech Mods about 2.5 years ago and there was no looking back. So far my PV's I currently own at the moment are:

5) Sigelei 19 modded w/ magnet removal and custom tap and died brass screw in switch and floating pin (My beater)
6) TVS Diablo Mod Clone (being shipped as we speak)
7) Vapage VMOD Bottom Feeder
8) Precise Plus 18350
9) Precise ELA (8-10 week ETA. blah)

Vape on!

Started with an EGO and ce4's. My first purchases were all the different juices that were offered. After 20+ years of smoking my taste buds were shot and every juice was the greatest. When my taste buds returned to normal the taste changed in some juice. You will have to do your own research and keep upgrading to get what's best for you. I'm now happy with a simple mod and a genesis type atomizer.

Started out with an eGo-T. It was the latest & greatest at the time, and of course I had to have the latest & greatest. It only took a couple of weeks to discover that "T" atomizers & tanks were not the greatest. However they did the dead. I bought that kit on 1 Apr 11, and smoked my last cigarette on 2 Apr 11. (had to finish the pack ya know)

I was pif'd an ego-c upgrade battery myself but just the battery. My buddy took me to our local shop and I got some clearos and some juice. For a month I used nothing but that pif'd ego and just bought juices. My first true purchase as far as mods and getting further into vaping was an MVP and a SS Vamo V2 kit from fasttech a month later.
