My Not So Roughstack

I looooove my Maxi Roughstack V2. The Maxi is PERFECT for me, and I love its rugged design, heft and reliability. It's great because I do have a somewhat dirty job, and it's easy to keep clean.

BUT on the weekends I'm ALL GIRL- and I love to dress up. The Roughstack just doesn't go with cute little outfits, so I made it a little black dress.

Because it's just aluminum it really couldn't have been easier. Some self-adhesive rhinestones from the craft store went on the top, and I made a little wrap from some black vinyl fabric. It's attached with "permanent adhesive" tape from the craft store. I'm pretty sure it's not actually permanent but it looked like it will be easy to remove with a little Goo Gone when I'm ready to swap it out.

OMG, I just turned into a girl. Looking at that thing has made me a female. Don't get me wrong, that's not a bad thing; my wife, however, may have an issue with this.

Then again, maybe she won't.

Hoogie said something about getting powder coating equipment the other day. - You might be able to get a RS that can be "girly" even at work pretty soon.

That's really cool, though. I'm a sucker for a little black dress.

I have a Rough stack and the best I could do was buff it with a nail buffing emery board that brought it up to a high shine. I love what you did! Now I have some new ideas.

I have a hankering for a mini Roughstack- and I've been waiting for the powder coating. I hope they get some cool colors, although with the skins, I kinda don't mind the silver either.

The vinyl is holding up well- so it looks nice even at the office. When it got a little dusty I just wiped it off, and it looks as good as new. Eventually it will probably need to be replaced, but it's cheap and easy to do. The rhinestones will probably fall off before the vinyl looks bad.
