Don't let the unknown paralyze you Amberina - 100' of 28gu kanthal on ebay, a box of Koh Gen Do make-up pads, a pair of tweezers, and a couple youtube videos, and a little time practicing... easy easy easy.

I know- I just need to dive in! I have been thinking about it more and more- especially since the last two orders of cartomizers I bought have been bad batches. It doesn't save me much money when I have to change them out every day!!
Thanks for the list of what I'll need- I also need something to measure the resistance with- any suggestions??

I vape at 6mg! Actually, after using this thing for a few hours last night and this morning, the nic buzz thing has settled down. Not because I'm getting used to it, I think, but more because I'm so much more satisfied with each hit that I don't have to hit it as often.
And please, do not be afraid of trying to make coils. I started by rebuilding PT heads and this is soooo much easier.
Ask Taki and DB. I've been resisting this purchase for months, had a hundred reasons why I didn't think I'd like it, but now I regret waiting.
You'll love it!!
And yeah, it is pretty! No shame in that.

Ok so I have a question.... I normally vape 18mg using cartotanks and my ProVari. What mg/ml do you think I would need if I bought the REO? I already know this is going to get expensive- I have a HUGE box of 18mg juices!! I would just buy the near zero and mix- but what level do you think I should aim for?

I vape 6 and 3 on my Reos and mechs. I have a buddy with your same set up on 18, when he got his Reo he went to 6-9. So you can just buy 0 and cut it down to 9 to start.

From what I understand, they are all now capable of sub-ohming since the latests upgrades. LP vs. standard only makes a difference in what kind of atomizer you can use. The LP gives you more options...can use any bottom fed atty. Standards can only use the RM2 or the Igo that's listed on the REO site, or 510/306 atties and cartos.
(someone correct me if I'm wrong...this is all new to me, but I'm pretty sure I got this right.)

Pretty much, the non LP Reo can fit atomizers of approx. 14-15mm. The LP lets you use basically anything with a 510 connection.

Embee is correct all METAL mechanical Reos are sub capable. Only limit at this point in time is your battery.

Are you using the stock air holes? Also what are the specs on your build?

Yeah, stock air holes. Its the Igo-W5. Im using 28ga, usually around 1.5-1.8ohms. Ive tried both cotton yarn and cotton balls. Its pretty harsh for me. I usually use cartotanks and KFL+'s and maybe a protank here and there, all in that same ohm range.

Make sure your air holes are lined up directly with the coil. You want the air hole right in the center of your coil. Also, if you have your coil raised up high that will give you more throat hit. Another thing is to get your coil as close to the air hole as possible without touching the cap or deck of the dripper. :)
