I looked at posting this in another area (specific model discussion) but it didn't fit anywhere there, since Elite and kgo are two different animals. So I'm posting here since newbies might be interested anyway.

My first vaping purchase was, after much research on this forum, the Elite from CigEasy about 4 weeks ago. I liked it okay but it seemed that the battery held its charge less and less as time went on, but I wasn't sure if it was my imagination or not since I'm a new vaper; I was careful to remove it from the charger when the light turned green because I'd read here somewhere about batteries exploding if left too long in the charger.

Well, a few days ago both of my Elite batteries seemed to be dead! Panic! So I did more research here and ordered a kgo from hoosierecigsupply (they consistently get good reviews here). It arrived today.

In the meantime, though, I heard from CigEasy and their tech walked me thru what I was doing wrong with the Elite (it has a shut-off feature), and it was working again. But I'm so glad I ordered the kgo.

The Elite is nice, don't get me wrong, but after trying the kgo I can see that the Elite is only going to be a backup for me. The kgo gives a good strong TH, it's more weighty and feels better in my hand, and it has the option of using tanks and of charging directly from your laptop. I should point out here that the wall charger that came with the kit is DOA, but I've written the company and I'm sure they'll make it right.

It's too early to tell if the kgo's battery charge will slowly degrade over time, but the instruction manual specifically said to charge it for 8 hours even if the light turns green sooner, which might have been the problem with the Elite, maybe I was supposed to charge it longer, but their user manual, which is not exactly correct, didn't mention anything about that.

Hope this helps someone. Four weeks ago I wasn't sure if the vaping thing was going to work for me in the long run, but after 4 weeks it surprised me how panicked I was when my Elite conked out and I was without anything but analogs. Still smoke analogs at the rate of about 2 packs a week but that in itself is something I am proud of, and with the kgo -- that seems to deliver more power -- I can see the analog use dwindling even further.
