Nice lights! I have my eye on a Nitecore TM15 Tiny Monster Triple Cree XML U2 LED Flashlight - 2450 Lumens. Could buy a nice APV with what it costs, but I'm foolish...sometimes.

Might wanna check one of these... A Blackshadow Terminator... XML U3 3500 lumens... Great light & may go a bit easier on your wallet.

I would like to pose a serious, non-judging question. What is the driving reason for collecting lights? I realize many here on ECF also collect flashlights and I am truly curious to know what the reasons are. I know this can be asked of just about any collection but I am truly trying to find out if I am missing something cool here.

I am a collector as well. I collect a lot of things and I, of course, can justify each of them. I am just curious to read what reasons you guys have for what you do. Again, I am in no way judging, just trying to learn.

I have several reasons. I work outside & camp quite often. Love the new technology as well. These new lights out are just amazing... My whole deal on collecting lights? I guess it boils down to this.. I like collecting things that are useful.. First it was leatherman multi tools... Well, there are only so many leathermen you can collect. The flashlights are much more plentiful & useful. Some people collect stamps, matchboxes, etc etc... Not that there is anything wrong with that. I just prefer my collections to be able to be utilized. Some where along the way I started learning about lumens, Lux, throwers, flooders, different emitters, the list goes on & on. The great thing about lights? You can find all different kinds in all different price ranges... From very expensive search lights to very inexpensive pocket lights. SO it even fits your paycheck... Weather you plan to spend hundreds, or just five or ten bucks.
