After being without power for 18 days after Hurricane Ike here in Houston a few years ago, I've been nudging my husband to make me something solar. Sure, I keep all of my batteries charged at all times & have quite a few rotating, but lets face it 18 days............ I'm gonna need something not "battery powered".
So cute, I love it! I guess i'll have to do a youtube video of this one. I was dripping some Vapalicious D's All Day on it a little while ago. It works fantastic!

2600 mAh 3.7V

I added the pic with my ipod just for size comparison.

Well, we've got a generator.........so I suppose i'd have 1 light on in what we have planned in our home to be our "base camp" if/when a hurricane hits. It can also be charged with ambient light. (I'd feel sooooooo guilty charging my vaping stuff with the generator that needs to be used for a window unit air conditioner & one refrigerator).

It was dark here after the storm hit & until about 2pm the next day.........then it seemed to lighten up a bit. I'm 'thinking' enough to still charge this mod.

Thanks Classwife! (I lived in Tampa @ Himes & Dale Mabry about 12 years ago)

A VERY NICE mod. I bought one of these batteries from China (on Ebay) several months ago with a view to modding it in some way. It doesn't run my passthrough very well - which led me to suspect the mAh claim. But they are dirt cheap - mine cost £3 including delivery! The only annoying thing about it is the blinding green LED - which can't be turned off (I have it lined up for amputation).

I'd love to have a go at your mod. It looks like you've placed the atty on the end with the two screws and chord holes in (???). What atty and switch are you using?

2 people have asked to see the inside, so I asked my husband if he could take it apart so I could take pics. He said "no". Apparently there are a screw, or some screws on the end, and everything is jam packed in there, so he doesn't want to open it & tear it up.
I'll have to take some pics of the next build.

yes...........my husband immediately thought of "camping"...........meanwhile, my idea of camping is a motorhome with jacuzzi & fireplace. Apparently his is different.

I don't know what 3 euros equals out to in american dollars, but yeah you can buy the solar box for under ten dollars shipped from a usa supplier.

Of course my husband changed out the green LED to pink for me.......& on the 2nd one he made, he put in an led that changes colors. So, there is NO blinding green LED.

Now i'm really gonna have to search for my camera, because a 45 second android video is not gonna tell the whole story of this mod. I was dripping on it or a good 30-45 minutes the other night, I actually went to sleep before the battery died. I was pretty impressed. (my husband never ceases to amaze me).

AWESOME, and I would love to be able to throw one of these in my tackle box and hit the river. The less I have to carry the better. We fish way back in the sticks lol. If my vapes didnt smell so good I'd take it hunting
