imo i'd contact aethertech, maybe they are unaware of the situation. 115$+ for something that looks like i drilled it out in my garage....no way.

I'd love to if I could find a way to contact them. Received the following when clicking on the "Contact" link on their website: File not found (404 error).

Day 2

Vaping mostly a local B&Ms Cappuccino (50/50) again for the most part today but along with the Mother's Milk and MBV's Cinnamon Bun, I also vaped some Nicoticket (70VG/30PG) Creme Brulee, Custard's Last Stand & Grandma's Cinnamon Danish. All of my Nickoticket is 12 mg and I find it too strong in the nic dept so I didn't use much. Need to find a way to cut that nic back a bit.

Still, I did vape some different juices through the wick and that is what I want to do for experiment's sake.

Anyway, enough of the blah, blah, blah. Results for the day.

Dry...

Wicks still looking and performing well. Coils look nice for a little over 48 hours (remember, I am currently on stay-cation and am primarily vaping this rig).

Juiced with Mother's Milk.

I noticed something that piqued my interest. It doesn't matter what flavor, brand, etc you are vaping - put something clear in it after vaping the dark, thick stuff, vape that, and voila! Clear, clean wicks. Boy, do I ever love this wicking material.

Some additional pix for Jeremy's comments.

Ok, i am also wicking my Magma with CC.

How do these look to you? I know you have said that the "shoulder" should be larger than the coil. Some of mine are and some are only equal in height to the coil. It's performing well thus far. Should I re-wick with more CC?

Shoulder optimal between the ID and OD of the coil. Shouldn't be much bigger than the od of the coil.

That wick doesn't look too bad. I typically like the see the rayon even with the top of coil. In the pic you can see the coil sits higher Than the rayon. If your flush with the id of the coil that can be great. The way I see if it is tight enough, when it's flush with the id of coil, is to nudge the wick down right next to the coil to see if it shows a gap in the end of coil.. It should stay in contact after a nudge.

It also depends on the power. Lower power can run looser.

Performance will tell, if it's good it's good.... But it looks like next time you could go just a little bit more and thin the tails a bit. I find it wicks a lot better with thin tails.

Re magma :

Then It could be just fine. If it's working good it's good. Your wire gauge is a lot heavier than I use. So I may not be able to tell as easily.... As long as it's not loosing contact on a nudge you have enough.
Too much wick can cause a dry vapor hit. Dry like a dry cigar. Or a dry wine.

same here. ive got hybrid adapters for my 2 nemmys and i found out that the stingray hybrid adapter also works on the origen too, so theres another one down. few more to go tho lol

I have a Phantom Brass Ray and tried the hybrid adapter out of my X and it doesn't fit. Looks like I am going to have a hard time finding an adapter for my PB Ray.

Yeah, my eyesight isn't that great and when I opened that image up and saw how horrible those post holes were, I was not happy to say the least.

You should do a tutorial on "How to De-burr an Authentic Atty.

 Thanks for the laugh.

Thanks Jeremy! Also appreciate the background on the beginnings of rayon use.

I'm so happy to have tried out this as a wicking material because of you. It has been a real blessing for me just in the build category alone. When I used to use cotton, I always seemed to be using too much getting dry hits and re-building all the time because I just couldn't get it right every time.

My hardest cotton build thus far has been on my Erlkonigin. I must have rebuilt it half a dozen times before I finally got it right. When I first got my rayon I rebuilt the Erl. Bam! Got it right on the first time. Wicks like a dream and the flavor is just outstanding!

I normally take my RBA into work and only use my drippers here around the house. I'm on stay-cation this week and will be using the drippers exclusively. I plan to post new images each night as I did last night just to see how it goes.

+1!

big, huge ups to Jeremy. you f-ing rock, dude.

thats a bummer. i was told all stingrays took the adapter. now im starting to wonder if the info about the origen is wrong too. after all, the origin is 21mm OD while stings are 22. But, the poster did acknowledge this and claims the ID and thread pitch/thickness matches up. i hope it does because ive got another mod that is interchangeable with the origen so that would knock out 2 more mods off my hybridization checklist.

Day 3

Mostly vaping my usual (does it need to be mentioned anymore?) but also threw in some Virgin Vaper's Kona Velvet Milkshake at the end of the evening. Again, it's more 12 mg juice so I didn't vape too much.

Boy, I need to trade all this 12mg juice for some 6mg juice. Too bad that never happens. Ha! Ah well, guess I need to figure out how to cut it without losing flavor. In time.

After the Virgin Vaper's Kona Velvet Milkshake (damn! that's a long name.)...

Coils and wick still looking and vaping great!

pvwet3.jpg

Here is what I mentioned before. Notice how the color of the wick changed? So, any color that I am seeing in the wicks, wet or dry, is nothing more than the color of the juice. Therefore, this tells me that the juice isn't staying in the wicks. It is being drawn up into the coils and vaped away.

Great! Great wicking material for me. When changing flavors, it is almost immediate with this build.

Coils are noticeable getting gunked up just a tiny bit each day. If I get a week out of this wick I will be a happy camper because I know I can get at least a month out of those coils. It'd be nice to only wick 4 times between coil changes. Maybe only 3! We'll see.

Friends? If you haven't guessed it yet, I am lovin' this wicking material. Or, perhaps, if you are familiar with Seinfeld, "I'm out there (insert your screen name here), and I'm lovin' every minute of it!" :D

Nice bro. I just took my cotton out and replaced with Rayon in the same build you looked at. I used double of what you have. Don't ask how I was able to fit it in lol. Naw. I just wet one end with water and just worked it through. Wicks and hit well but not as much pulls I can get with cotton.

Also I'm down to 3mg mostly 90/10 VG/PG. To get most VG I could I ordered VG and Nic from Wizard Labs. Then went to sites I order juice from and try to get their flavor only. Mix it at home and good to go. :)
