Not moved, just gone.
No notification or reasoning.
Was asking for advice, and apparently my post was deleted with no reason provided.
It was a bit long, but had a couple of response.

Can somebody explain A) why it was removed? and B) why I wasn't informed it was removed and why? - I'd like to know what to avoid in the future, as I had a few questions.

My first post was a very positive experience, but this action has quickly soured me.

Thanks for any information you can provide.

Thanks, Kad
After such a positive first experience, this is a bit jarring, especially with no explanation, and no posting rules that I can find. I can't imagine any of my content broke any rules, but no explanation leaves a bad taste in my mouth, plus it was a long post, so retyping it all will be no fun.

Gotta run to work in not too long, but hopefully by the time I get home I'll have some answers.

Maybe you posted a semi private message instead of a forum message.
For example, maybe you 'start a new conversation' instead of posting a new thread in the new members forum.

Ah, I see. Wish I could help, and I do hope you find your answer, and that you stick around. This really is one of the best internet communities I've ever been apart of.

I must second Kad's opinion! I have found this to be one the friendliest and informative forums I have ever been a part of. As for your post instead of thinking it was deliberately removed maybe it is just a glitch or one of those mysterious bugs in the system. :2c::2c::2c::2c::2c:

Moved to Site Feedback and Help.

It appears the thread was deleted as a duplicate of one you had started earlier.

Here is your original thread: New to vaping/A Few Questions - some information about me - any input appreciated

You asked the same thing again in the General Vaping forum.

As a general rule of thumb, cross posting the same thing in different forums isn't allowed.
I'll agree that the 2 you linked were duplicates, as a new user I was trying to address the broadest possible user base.

I disagree that my newest post was a duplicate as it was asking specific questions hopefully leading to an upgrade.

The worst part is it was done without informing me as to why, and I have no access to what I typed in order to post it.

I thank you for your response, but I can't say I agree. How long do I have to wait or in what way do I need to modify my post in order for it not to be deleted? I'm looking for new feedback/suggestions and adding to an older buried post won't garner me very many responses.

Thanks for your time.

Again, cross posting the same thing in different forums is not permitted on ECF.

I'll also be cross-posting this a few places to ensure the widest audience.

And by your own admission, you're admitting to the practice.

Forum Rules

13. Message conventions
Posts made by members must accord with certain conventions.
a. Posts must be in English, except in the International Language boards.
b. Off-topic digression: Stick to the topic. Do not deviate from the subject discussed in a thread as this is called off-topic (OT) posting. Open a new thread if a new issue arises from the discussion so others can always see by the title what the thread is about. Do not post the same topic in several forums (no double-posting / cross-posting).
c. Post titles: The title of a post should accurately refer to the content of the message.
d. Do not place links in the title. Example: " Find good resources at www.vaping.com ".
e. Do not place domain names in a post title. Example: " Vaping.com is a great site ".

I agree that applies to my first two posts after joining on Sunday (neither of which was removed), but I'm more concerned about my latest post from last night.

It was a single post, and not a duplicate of my 2 original posts.

I ask again how/when can I post my questions without them being removed?
I want to start a new thread to address my upgrade questions, and want to avoid it being deleted, especially with no notification to me, as happened this time.

Also, I'd like to suggest the Forum Rules be added to the New Member Information forum. I reviewed that section and saw nothing about the rules.

Is that any way you can add these rules to the Help/terms and rules section for easier access?

If you add or reply to a thread it bumps it to the top of the forum.
Not sure if you knew that. My apologies if you did.
I did not know that a new reply/post within a topic pushed it back to the top. Thank you for that information.

Now if I can only get the admin to reply so I know when I can post a new thread again . . .
Interesting on how the rule quoted to me wasn't applied to the actual cross-posts, and was applied to my new thread . . .

I believe he meant the top of the list of forum threads running not the comment in the threads. Maybe Vesuvius will clarify it for you so I am not assuming what he meant.
