My Posts updating weirdly the past few days

If this is just a user error, feel free to PM me as such and delete this thread. But I've been using the same computer for a few months now, no recent updates, IE 8, same as always. In the last couple of days, I'm noticing my "My Posts" isn't updating like it used to. It used to sort the threads in a most recently posted order. Now, it doesn't really seem to have any order to it. Unless it has changed to some sort of formula where it's only counting my personal last post vs the new posts. That would be cool, keeping the neverending threads I haven't posted on in months out of my way. If that's the case, then count this as feedback as "good on ya!" or whatever that saying is

By the way, I only ever use the "my posts" and "today's posts" to view threads unless I'm looking for something very specific, which is rare. Usually I just hang out and help if I can, and that's the best way to do so methinks.

Same here. The results are not in chronological order like they once were.

I'm on this boat too. The My Posts and a couple of specific forums are all I visit. Without seeing who has posted on my posts on the My Posts, I've got no clue if anyone responds to me without going through pages....which I won't do. Makes the forum much harder for me to navigate, do not like.

this problem has been reported but might not be fixed. during the last update the search order was rearranged - sarge promised to see what can be done.

in the meanwhile, it is what it is .............. sigh

what i did to ease the problem - i posted in the threads most important to me and got them up onto my first page. this way i can keep an eye on them. it now sorts in the order YOU posted .....

I do kinda sorta like that. I posted on the "show us pictures of your setup" thread several months ago, as well as couple other massively long threads that never seem to die out, and I kinda don't like them being there. I've tried subscribing and unsubscribing, that didn't help. So in a way, this is a "bit" better

If you subscribe to the threads that are important to you, you can just go to your Settings page and see them all the time. If there are new posts, it will be indicated. Very easy that way. Just a suggestion.

One of the threads that I monitored with that was the Deals and Steals thread... They get mad if you post in there. I don't want updates on it, I just want an easy way to see whats going on there. I still don't want to scroll through three pages of my posts to see if anyone has replied to anything I've said lately.

i was lucky there! one of the web sites posted must have had a problem the other morning which i duly reported ................... and 'deals and steals' was back on my front page

but that was the first chance i had since all this happened for a legitimate post in that thread!

Yeah... I haven't even looked at the thread since this change happened. Actually, I haven't been on ECF for more than a couple minutes to see if it was back to the way it was since then. That was how I navigated for the last year and a half and I've got enough problems in my life that I don't have time to learn a new method...or patience.

it took me about half an hour to post in all the threads most important to me and get them on the front page in ''my posts''
'deals and steals' took days to get back because of the 'no chit-chat' rule.

and i realize i will probably overlook new posts on threads beyond the front page but, for now, it's the best i could do.
