Hi everyone! I need to substitute 10% EM PG solution for the cotton candy mixture in the following recipe for Spi-C-Mints I found in The vape Book. I'm assuming it will be the same amount, but just seems like a lot of EM. Any suggestions??

"Instructions for the method of cotton candy I will use for this recipe:
Dissolve 1/4 teaspoon of Ethyl Maltol crystals in 9 mls (most use 10mls) of pg based 36 mlg unflavored nicotine. (Now you have roughly a cotton candy 36 mlg "give or take" flavoring.)

Now for my recipe of a 10 ml batch 70/30 pg/ vg 18 mlg Spi-C-Mints:
4.3 ML OF 36 MLG UNFLAVORED NICOTINE
0.7 ML OF YOUR 36MLG COTTON CANDY FLAVOR THAT WE JUST MADE ABOVE
1.0 ML OF RED HOT CINNAMON CANDY TYPE FLAVORING (I used TPA)
1.0 ML PEPPERMINT FLAVORING (used TPA)
3.0 ML VEGETABLE GLYCERIN"

Thanks in advance for any advice and/or suggestions!

I agree with DeeDee1234 (leave it out). The Cinnamon Red Hot TFA seems sweet enough to me to carry the recipe; I'd replace the .7ml of EM with .35 of PG or VG (which shouldn't throw the recipe off substantially, and would allow me to add .35 of EM if it wasn't sweet enough). I'd likely add 1-2% (.02/.04) of Koolada or Menthol for enhanced "mint zing" :)

On the other hand (now that I think about it) 1ml of Redhot is 10% of the recipe (5%-15% is common) - so perhaps the EM is used to "tone down" & soften the Redhot.

"Test everything; keep that which is good" :)
