Hi just-cass. Glad you got her working! I've had mine for alittle over 3 months now and I just love it too!! Sorry you had problems. I guess I lucked out. I'm still using the original switch that came with it. Got a back up though. Haven't named mine yet. Just been calling it my baby lol. Are you using carts? I started to but quickly went to dripping. Welcome to the Puresmoker gang!

hi catlvr

i use carts cos i use my ecig alot in the car...ive recently been dripping and gotten better flavor so i will be doing this alot more...starting with auto batteries kept me to carts too so my protege will be a great starting point for dripping...wish there was an afs for it!!!any plans in motion for something like this?

i like dripping too cos i can use loadsa flavors and not have to rinse carts....

im using a tact switch so watching the uk supplier closely to get a mech switch...

thanks for replying

hey cass, welcome!

I love both my Protege and my Prodigy V2. Because I would easily confuse the two alliterative agents of vaping virtuosity, I had to give them names as well. They're too vulgar to mention in the forums, but they're oh so fitting! The appropriate moniker for your Protege will come to you when you least expect it. It will almost be like announcing itself to you...

steve told me 2 weeks ago they were in the process of getting mech switches but they mustnt have arrived yet in uk...i have been checking the site daily and havent seen them.as the protege was under warranty i got a replacement switch from ps i didnt buy it.

It took 2 hours of shaving it down as the housing didnt fit the tube:shock: though...my fingers are not the better for it this eve...:(

I am waiting to hear back from steve.i dont want to comment either way on the switch issue til ive spoken with him : o)

when i say 2 hours it took ME 2 hours..ive never fiddled with a housing switch thingymbob in my life...but yes...2 hours and sore fingers...it took 7 working days to arrive(not so long considering from US) so i had to do something with it...i couldnt wait another 2 weeks to get another if anyone would ask why i didnt send it back for another.

Im on day 2 and my protege is not in perfect nic' shall we say so my protege is now....not alive!!!!haha
