I have been smoke free for several months now. I smoked for 21 years, and loved every minute of it. I never wanted to quit and really never tryed. I had to make a choice one day, as silly as it sounds it had to do with my chevy avalanche that made me switch to a vape smoke. Basically it was my job that forced me to make this choice, they say no more smoking outside in the parking lot, only inside your vehicle. I decided I wasn't gunna stink up my avlanche with cigarette smoke and film.

So I bought a cheapo white rhino at the liquor store, on friday night after work when I picked up my nightly beer. That saturday I went out as usal in the morning and bought a pack of smokes (cheyenne full flavor little cigars -Cheap) and went about my day as usual, neing a half pack a day smoker on avaerage, I figured it would last for the weekend. Well when I got up on sunday i had 3 smokes left, I had the first when I woke up, then later we went to menards and my girlfrriend bought a small cart for yardwork. I had the second on the way back to the car from the store, with my gf being in a hurry i only got about half of it before putting it out, which while in a hurry it broke, so I tossed it. After that we got home, and I charged my battery on my white rhino, and filled the tank.

Upon assembling her cart I relaxed had one beer while smoking my last smoke. Although i figured i would probably just go back out and buy more as would be my usual putting things off for another day routine. Surprisingly I did not buy another pack. I picked up the rhino and assembled it, when i took that first hit i knew that was for me. no more cigarettes. Havent touched one since. I just use the tobacco flavor juice, and love it. To me it just tastes better, plus I don't cough anymore.

So I havent had a cigarette since about 3pm on sunday april 6th 2014. I still love the smell of them when someone around me is smoking though. I had in the past tryed the blu ecigs, but they just didnt do anything for me.

I had the same fireworks moment with a blu back in June of 13. I was getting desperate to find a way not to smoke and still "feel like myself". NRTs and cold turkey in the past always left me feeling...wrong.

I had already found this forum before I bought the blu. I wanted to test out vaping before buying better gear. Nervous in my truck opening the package...then a light pull to make sure it worked...then a couple of big pulls...and then i knew game/set/match. Haven't had a cig since that day. Even had a half pack in my console for 4 months. Never touched them.

Congrats on your mental moment! It's like a pardigm shift in thinking and the start of a new life. Enjoy!

Congrats!
Claim little accomplishments as victories.

I remember when I started--I was going the dual route--and one nite I was grabbing for my "nightime analog" and realizing I was pulling it out of the same pack I had started with a week and a half ago---and I had 11 smokes left! Before I had been finishing that pack in a day.

I thought at the time that if I never go beyond this, I am still WAY better off than I was before. (Claim a Victory)
Quit smoking for good 4 days later.

Every time you vape is a cigarette not smoked and a victory for you.
