At the moment its only the NYS Assembly Health Committee that's approved the bill to be sent to the floor of the Assembly to be voted on. We'll see what the full Assembly does this year. In 2010 the Assembly passed the bill with full approval. Not a single person voted no. Fortunately for NYS and the rest of the US in 2010 the anti e-cig legislation stalled in the Senate Health Committee and never came to the NYS Senate Floor for a vote. Again in 2011 we wait to see what happens. Simply waiting to see what happens without our participation in attempting to actually educate our legislatures as to the true facts is simply asking for them to approve this bill. The more we actually educate those that can be educated the better our chance of stopping the tide of banning E-cigs.

The tax on a pack of cigs in NY is $4.65 and why a pack costs you $10 here. Greed is why they don't want Ecigs here. When they find a way to tax it, then they will allow them.

It sucks so bad living here:( I pay 3k a yr in property taxes on a very tiny house and our electricity runs 8-9 cents a kwh. I just got a monthly electric bill for $292....sigh. Our gasoline is $3.40 for the cheapest grade. Our NY politicians are the most corrupt group of rat finks in the nation:(

On the plus side, it's such a beautiful, hilly place to live. Upstate is gorgeous from May-Oct:)

Right on and I will trade you utility bills. Mine was $436 last month. Hope the taxes on that bill helped defray the costs of having all those boneheads at the table for the Assembly Health Commitee
