I'm in Los Angeles and had a conversation with Audrey Silk from CLASH, regarding the lawsuit to overturn the NY ban against e-cigs and vaping. I would like to do the same here in Los Angeles, but I need some help going over the L.A. ban to find a loophole similar to NY which is a violation of one Subject Rule of the citys Charter. They can ban electronic cigarettes all day long. They cannot use the cover of the Smoke-Free Air Act,. Can anyone with legal expertise look over the L.A. ban and see if we are dealing with the same potential loophole here?
If we can sandwich the nation with bi-coastal lawsuits, we can set a pretty powerful precedent. I also wonder if this can help to squelch AB-1500 or at least delay it.
