Just placed an order with Rob for a gold ano lp sl :p dont think i have been excited for a mod like this in a long time.

This probably did not deserve its own thread, but alas, here we are.

so a quick question that i feel has been answered a lot but ill ask anyway. Should i use my 25r flat tops naked, or should i put the lil magnets on em?

Special thanks to redeyedancer and spydro for the help and advice!

Welcome to the family Clasicks :) Pictures are mandatory when you receive it. Getting my Reo back in January was the best thing I've done. You getting a Reo and joining fellow Reonauts does deserve it's own thread. I'll let others answer the 25r question, when I used them, I never used magnets, but I use AW IMR predominately in mine.

Oh my! That's going to be gorgeous!!

Absolutely deserves its own thread:D

I don't like the longer throw with flat tops in a Grand, so I would go with the magnets. There's another thread around REOvil recently discussing it.

Can't wait to see PICS!

Congrats and welcome to Reoville! I rotate 6, 25R batteries with no magnet and a couple of AW 1600 button top. The 25R seems as tall as a button top and wonder if a magnet would compress the spring too much. Anyway, I never felt the need to add a magnet but feel free to experiment. Looking forward to your pics.

Congrats and welcome to Reoville :toast:

Nice colour choice - there's a stately elegance to the gold ano's.

Unless you vape at fairly low resistances (say, <.7 ohms), you're not likely to come across the chief issue with flat top bats - pitting of the pos terminal due to arc'ing. Even then, deoxit gold goes a long way in preventing this. Others use the magnets to adjust the button throw distance for purely ergonomic reasons. They're easy enough to swap in or out to find your preference.

Oh, and pics when she arrives. It's kinda our thing.

Congratulations on the new mod, pretty sure you will love it. I have had my reo for six months now and no longer use anything else. I have only ever used flat tops in mine with no issues. Mine only took 5 days to get to me in the UK so yours will be with you before you know it!

Congrats clasicks magnets on top of your battery my concern with that is the magnet hitting the body and causeing a short . Use common sense you should be ok . Its always better to minimize the breaks in the connection . Like papa said as long as your not a super sub ohm guy you shouldn't have problems
