Hi there Aaron;

Actually the open style does make for a great safety feature but I think it is overall more for looks since it is modeled after the AR 15 rifle.

This particular mod has never even gotten slightly warm at all. I use a 30 amp limit super high drain battery though for the low ohm coils I use so even the battery stays very very cool when operating.

As far as the 26650, I am really not sure when or if they plan on releasing it. I really hope they do because I will certainly buy one and review it as well.

No news as of yet. I was told by a store owner that they were in the works. Hopefully they are able to make it happen, but as is sometimes the case in this industry, vision and end product do not always come together. I know some mods that have been designed in the R&D stage and looked phenomenal never made it out of R & D. I am really hoping this one does.

If I get any further news on it though I will definitely post it here.

I think Devon did a great job. He shows the mod and you can see the mod and pick in other videos. That is my two cents

I love my AR mod.. Thing hits like a train and feels great in my hand.. Could double as a weapon if needed haha!
