Finished my first mod on Sunday, a copy of Sir_Lawrence's brass pipe mod. I finished my second mod today. Designed in the spirit of the GLV and Zi Moshi with an offset atty connector. I really love the configuration on my GLV. I offset the KR8 connector (front to back) for a little extra thumb room over the button.
The one thing that I thought came out kinda neat was the closure. I used the same pin/slot/spring tension arrangement that they used on automotive light bulbs. You can see it in the second pic. A little messy but it was all done with hand tools and a drill press.
Circuitry is the same as Sir_Lawrence's brass pipe mod using a 5v regulator. Thanks to him and everyone else here on the forum that share their knowledge. Also thanks to Hoog at madvapes for having parts just two days away.
