Hi all! I've been lurking the forums for almost a month so I finally decided to sign up!

I bought a starter kit from my local shop called MaddCatt's around August of last year but didn't put it to good use until I quit smoking the beginning of the year. Haven't had a real cigarette in almost exactly a month now and pretty damn proud of it!

Current setup(tried to upload a picture but I'm guessing because I'm a newbie I cant):
2 eGo-C Twists
1 iTaste v3
2 Kanger T3S
1 DCT Locking 510 tank
and a few others that I never use anymore

Will probably add a ProTank to my collection shortly.

I'm also debating on getting a MVPv2 or VTR! Thoughts/opinions welcome!

Personally I would pass on the protank, I have two and dont really use them anymore, gurgle and flood. you can rebuild them pretty easy but they still flood when the tank gets low.

also I would take the VTR so I have replaceable batteries and maybe look into Rebuildable dripping atomizer worth having IMO. Just makes sure you watch a few rebuilding vids.

Nice! wish those were available when I started vaping. Got an MVP2 and really like it

Awesome! I really like some of the features of the MVP2 but there are a few things I'd also like to have that it doesn't currently have!

Really?! I haven't heard many bad thing about the ProTanks! I have a bunch of tanks/cartos I've thrown to the side due to gurgling, leaking and getting juice in my mouth while vaping. I don't want to add another to the pile. I'll keep looking around before I pull the trigger on anything! I really like that you can swap batteries and the connection is recessed on the VTR! Seems pretty sturdy as well!

Welcome to ECF ohkay! Congrats on quitting :)

Welcome to the forum and glad to have ya!

Happy Vaping!! :vapor:

Thank you both! =)

Been vaping since the fifth of last Aug. My set ups have always included the ProTank II and mini as well as the Davide in both sizes. Recently began to recoil and rewick with cotton. Figured I'd find out about flooding while I go thru that learning curve. I also vape until the tanks are empty.

What is flooding? If it's a small dot of juice on top of the firing post of your battery, then I guess I've had flooding. If it's a lot of juice in the well at the top of your battery, I haven't had any. Take that back. Didn't put enough wicking in one rebuild. Coil was good tho.

I'm an old lady, and having smoked for 53 yrs wanted to keep it easy and simple at this stage of my life. Reliability was also important. The ProTanks and Davides do that for me.

I also started on the MVP as my first battery and still use it even tho I now have a ProVari. Different form factor, but enjoy them both equally!

Congrats on your achievement.....It even gets better! :)

Good start! sounds like everything you need to enjoy.
I love my protank mini2s. Although some seem to experience flooding (I have not had much of an issue unless I leave them in extreme heat or chain vape the crap out of em)).
I love the glass (no fear of cracked tanks from cinnamon or citrus flavors) as well as the look and feel of them.

I have a few top coil tanks and find I get burnt hits every once and a while, not a problem with the bottom coil protanks for me. Spare coils are cheap but I have also found that if I rinse and dryburn them every few tankfulls the coils last a long time. REbuilding them is pretty easy aslo if you are so inclined. The Smok Aro II tanks seem to work great for me also (kind of like an EVOD clearo but pyrex).

I have also found that a VV ego style battery is a worthy addition to my kit. A little more voltage for my licorice flavor, less for some of the fruity gum flavors.

An Itaste is in my future probably but I have a few Ego batts already and really don't need one but... I do seem to browse a lot and seem to have something of a "new gear" thing going. Haven't popped for a provari yet tho (hmmm... want want want).

Welcome and happy vaping. Years of reading in these forums. Go figure that I find this fun as well as so much cheaper even with gear and liquid purchases than the 30 year, pack a day habit that I left behind without looking back on six weeks ago.

My wife has quit smoking altogether by sharing my EVOD starter kit with me but doesn't share the vape obsession I have developed. It started as a means to and end of smoking for her. We both feel so much better, spend way less per month and even with my expenditures, we are at least $200 a month ahead not buying 3 or 4 cartons a month of cigs. That is a total victory for us!
