My (short) journey & some questions.

Hi. My name is Joe and I am fairly new to this whole vaping thing. I got my first PV less than a month ago (late January) at the mall. It was an RN4081 sold under the name "smoke free". (smoke free on line dot com) I messed with that a bit and using the "celotape trick" to block off a few holes . It was decent but not enough to get me even 50% off analogs.

Enter Halo Newpure 18mg juice. Better/more vapor. Better taste; minty/vanila. Very clean. But still not enough. Tried dripping with my 4081: now we're gettin' somewhere. More vapor. Still not satisfying TH but better. By this time I had done alot of reading here and ordered a 510 from "kingpin".

I got the unit in 3 days! Nice. I'll order there again. Based on pics of the real deal I believe it's a genuine Joye just sold by another seller. Could be wrong. Anyone know the real scoop on this? Anyway, fast forward to my first drag (after following the prep guide posted on ECF).

WOWEEWOWOW! Pleasant surprise but a bit more than I was ready for. I manned up though. I didn't choke or cry or nothin'. Big vapor and TH. I would say there is even a "lung hit" if you ex-smokers know what I mean. Very satisfied. I will be ordering a PCC for it and want to try some other Halo juice flavors.

That brings us to where I am now. Happy with my purchase. My question's are: What else do I need/want to have on hand? I hear that dripping is fine w/this model.Is that true? Any reason I wouldn't want to drip in general? Any other advice?

I've dripped a couple times with the 510.. no prob. I've heard others day it is fine to drip with.

I have a usb passthrough 5v coming soon, I guess that's something to get so you can try voltage past 3.7 and not need batterys while at home and w/ a car adapter on the road. I'm guessing from what I have read that this will be the cats meow. I got mine from madvapes...the last one, yesterday for $15. I guess the straight pt is what is a good one to get not the one with the inline battery if you are looking to try vaping past 3.7v.

When you use carts I would suggest the pyramid tea bag mod... easy simple and helped my vaping experience a lot. I would explain it, but watching a video on youtube is much easier for you to get it. Just give it a search on youtube if interested.

I'm a newbie, so all this knowledge is what I have learned from this site and 4 day of experience, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

Just experiment with different liquids,techniques and voltages. It's fun stuff. I'm almost to the point where I'm going to try making my own liquids so I can have exactly what I want.

That would be fun. I need to get a little more experience first, though I am curious about what a higher voltage gives you. What's that like?
