About a three weeks ago, I decided it was time to quit analogs after 16 years (roll-your-own Bali Shag for 6 yrs.). My girlfriend (2+ yr. smoker) was shocked because I had never dropped a hint of ceasing prior to New Years. She was open to cutting down herself on one PAD. After a little bit of research:
Day 1: V2 Starter Kit - $70 total w/coupon and shipping
- Auto Long Battery - Disliked; too much effort to pull; my GF prefers this so it works out
- Manual Long Battery - Much easier to vape
- 5-pk V2 Red cartos (18mg) - OK, not crazy about it
- 5-pk Congress cartos (12mg) - Blehhh... my GF liked it better than Red so that's another win
- USB and wall charger - Has a very bright light indicator for charging status
- 5-pk Congress cartos (0 mg) - Still haven't opened yet; going to flush them out and re-use
- 3-pk V2 Liquimax clearomizers - Starting using them a few days ago and like them better than cartos; gives a warmer vape
I'd say it was a worthwhile purchase because I was able to cut down to half of the number of analogs I usually smoke a day.
Day 7: Liberty Flights PG RY4 30ml (18mg) + 5-pk Boge 808D blank cartos (3 Ohm) - $22
The RY4 was a huge step up from V2 flavoring. Somewhat impressed when used V2 cartos. The Boge cartos muted flavors a bit. The RY4 arrived steeped which was cool.
Day 14: ECBlend sample juice (mixed pg/vg ratios; all 12 mg) - $13
- Chocolate Hazelnut Tobacco, Dragon's Blood, Dragon's Cafe, Dragon's Tear (free)
I must say that I'm not a fan of the Dragon series (yet?). TH was lacking perhaps due to lower nic and pg levels. The Choc Haze tobacco is alright. I steeped all of them with very hot water, shaking, and left open caps/drips overnight due to perfume-y smell. That definitely made a noticeable difference the next day.
Day 21 (today): I ordered ($46) from Vaporschoice:
- Ego-C Twist 650 mah battery + USB cable
- 1 Kanger T2 2.4 Ohm Clearo
- 2 T2 replacement atomizers
- Caramel Cinnamon Tobacco - 6 ml / 80/20 / 16 mg
- French Vanilla Tobacco - 6 ml / 80/20 / 16 mg
- Caramel Tobacco - 15 ml / 80/20 / 16 mg
Can't wait to try the Ego C T and other flavors! As of right now, between my GF and I vaping Liberty Flights' RY4, I'm running really low on our first 30ml bottle. That's definitely not a good thing b/c I don't really like the other flavors. Hopefully, I'll soon find a preferred vape flavor so I can further cut down on analogs. I'll probably make another buy somewhere soon when this package arrives.
As a noob, all this hardware and juice stuff has been confusing/overwhelming. I think I've finally begun to get a hang of things. I want to thank all of you folks contributing on ECF! You've been a tremendous help! Suggestions/questions are welcomed!
