Well I asked her if she wanted to try my new Raseberry cartomizer today. I was hit by I don't know how you do that it burns my throat. Needless to say because I'm normaly vapping TW Liquid which she can not stand.

Then I was hit by, I read those things are just as bad as smoking. That they found things inside of it. I went to tell her the BS, and was more or less ignored about it......Back to her pack to 2 pack a day habbit she be.

She said she might start to do SNUS thinking that is so much better for her. Until I told her that it is banned in the EU. She just kind of was in shock about it.

I then just walked away vapping on my chuck shacking my head. FDA:lol: you have won for now.....

You could print out the "Are Electronic Cigarettes Safe?" post and give it to her. Sounds like she's seriously in denial, though. Sad to hear.

And a very informative article it is, too! You can't tell a smoker e-cigs are better for them any more then you can tell them cigarettes are bad for them. All you can do is make your own decisions, share your experiences, and let them make their own decisions.

P.S. Lies and misinformation are a lot easier to believe when you want to believe them. Since it's his sister, why not try the "I know you are but what am I" approach. If that fails... Nuggies.
P.P.S. Mom said we could vape in the house!

My Husband won't even try vaping. I have a pipe on the way for him to try. He has to take his best friend to his chemo treatments. I told him that he could use the pipe at the hospital hiding in a stall. He promised to give it a try. You just want to give them a good smack. Maybe one day.

DaMulta, I am so sorry! I am having problems getting hubby to quit smoking. He will use his E-cigs part time..mostly when I give him an evil look..but not full time. he is the reson we stsrted this thing! He has heart problems and COPD...not me.

Oh well, I will try to get him back on pills or patches and give him 0Nic to vape..or else he will just use the patch to hold extra cigs!

Yes, I have upped his nic, lowered his nic, tried different e-cigs, e-liquids, cartridge types and even tried to get him to use my VP1..he is just a pill!

I just got my daughter an e-cig and it takes a little coaching. The first draw she was coughing but after showing her to not inhale directly into the lungs and to draw more slowly than an analog, she was liking it much better. MaryKay, I was diagnosed 3 yrs ago with early stage COPD and still couldn't quit smoking. After vaping for one month, and I still haven't completely quit the analogs, I had a chest xray last week. It came back all clear....no sign of the copd. I knew I was breathing must better and coughing a lot less, but the xray results just blew me away.

Sorry to hear that MaryKay.
Right before I started vaping, my wife was getting down on me. She used the "Stink" approach. Whenever I had a smoke, she would complain openly about how bad the stink was while spraying air freshener around the room. If I had a smoke before bed time, she would sleep on the sofa. There was nothing I could say because I knew she was right. Now she says she don't smell a thing.

Now... Farts are a different story:lol::lol:

I have introduced vaping to at least a dozen ppl in the last two months and it has taken-hold with about 90% of them. I have found that the approach required is different for different ppl.
If it's someone who wants to quit smoking, it's easy you just tell them that vaping will replace every 'good' aspect of smoking (something in your hand, something to puff on, as much nicotine as you want, etc.) without all the bad stuff (stink, ashes everywhere, standing in the rain, etc.) They will take to it like flys on honey.
If it's someone that I know doesn't want to quit. I take a different approach. It's more of a... "I can smoke for about a 10th of the cost of what it used to be"...and... "You don't have to give up cigarettes, but if you use an e-cig (i call it e-cig in this case) here and there, you can cut down on what you're spending on cigarettes by a ton." I'm usually pretty confident that they will bite with this approach and eventually (like me) realize how much better vaping is than smoking. The smokes will just go away.
I have always been terrible at trying to sell something. "I couldn't sell pu**y on a battleship", I've always said. But this is such an easy sell. I kinda wish I was the one actually selling them and not just directing ppl to where they can buy them.

anyway.. just my two cents

LOL I agree. I talked her into a 901 when I started, and she made it 4 days without smoking. However she is a bartender, and said being around other smokers made her want the real thing.

Then someone stole it from her, but she had really already quit using it. She never has liked what I vape, but even when I try to get her to try lower does E-Liquid like she was using before it's a Nahhhh.

Really she just does not want to quit smoking, and that's the truth in the whole matter.
