Welcome to your NEW LIFE
Congrats
Wow it has been 5 weeks since I quit smoking and today for the first time in a long time I could smell. :) LOL!!! I just never knew I lost it till I quit. I can smell everything I was like a hound dog sniffing everything. My taste buds are returning also. Even what I vape is a lot sweeter. :)

I don't say anything at all and try to hide it. I was just truely stunned the first time it happened. I had a terrible time going from cigarettes to ecigs and honestly, it just shocked the daylights out of me that it smelled so bad. I'm not around anyone who smokes most of the time and I just never saw it coming. I know, my bad, and then you think, "ohmygodthat'swhatIsmelled like?!" At least now I'm prepared for it but the first time just floored me. Wish I could have seen my face. :)

Exactly what happened to me. Oh my GAWD! That's how I smelled. Helped me through more than one craving.

I know I'm in the minority here. I loved to smoke for 37 years and I still don't mind the smell at all. It's been a year and a half since I've had a smoke, but I think if I had one tomorrow I would enjoy it. What is really great is that I have absolutely no desire to smoke now.

I tend to hang with the smokers too when I can. I know second hand smoke is not anywhere near as dangerous as the ANTZ make it out to be so it's not like it's going to hurt me. I've been on a course since Tuesday and from a group of four smokers I have one almost converted to vaping. Yay :thumb:

I'm with you I love the smell of smoke. And of the 2 cigarettes I had over the past... Week and a half? They were better then usual. But I still prefer vaping. Same deal last time I vapid except I went along time without smoking still loved the smell

I promised I wouldn't be one of those ex-smokers who criticized those who still smoked. I realized that's how I smelled, but it was an addiction, a strong powerful addiction that nothing but vaping helped me get over. All I can do is educate those who want to quit, not judge those who want to smoke. It's just a matter of time before they get tired of paying all that money or get tired of being sick from the cigs and need an alternative....we'll be there for them. :D

About how long does it take to get your smell back? I know I can smell cigarettes more now but other things do the seem any different yet. It has only been about 10 days since I stopped analogs all together. Can't wait to feel better. Congrats on getting yours back.

It was about 3 weeks for me. Unfortunately it seemed like the bad smells came back first, or at least they caught my attention first ;)

Lol!

I have always heard smell and taste comes back strong, and how great it is. The thought never crossed my mind that the bad smells and tastes come back just as strong! Sugar free red bull suddenly tasted a whole lot weirder to me (though I still drink it :p)

I quit cigs for 2 years at one point and felt so much better. Yeah I'm a dumass for slipping back into it but when I wasn't smoking people that did smoke smelled like some serious deuce.. I remember coming home and having to throw all my clothes in the wash asap or they stunk up the whole house.. And now that I'm smoking again I can't smell a damn thing.. Looking forward to fresh cut grass and morning rain

I don't remember how long it took. I did start noticing I gradually smelled more things, or things were smelling more, then one day I was standing up wind of my dog doing his business. He's 85lbs so we're talking Big Business. :(

Mmorris, dogs are great. Wouldn't want to live without one. But if they aren't your thing... I don't understand how people live with cats. They poop in a pan inside after all. Kidding. We had a cat too. She didn't like cigarettes either and made no bones about it.
