Hello all, been lurking here for the last few days, and decided it was time to introduce myself. I've been a 35-40 a day smoker for the past 20 years, think I've tried everything to quit and no success.
So, a couple of weeks ago, the wife and I went to catch a movie at the local theatre. After the movie, while waiting for my wife in the restroom and seriously jonesing for a cig, I noticed this guy (also waiting for his wife in the restroom) carrying this black pen shaped object. He put it in his mouth and a blue light came on at the end of it, and when he exhaled....SMOKE!?!?! I really wanted to ask him about it, but was afraid he'd think i was an idiot or a stalker or something...lol
After that, I was just fascinated. Came home and started searching online for electronic cigarette. Think the first site was Smoke51. Then this forum. For a couple of days I lurked and read and watched vids and reviews, until finally deciding to order a 901. Searching on the web for suppliers, really looking for something locally, I came across Vaporguys.com and thought to myself, "Hey, they actually have a phone number!" and so I called. Strangely enough, while talking to Kurt about how I found out about vaping (telling this story
) and wouldn't you know it....KURT was the guy at the theatre vaping! Crazy coincidence, I know.
So...ordered the 901, Kurt offered to meet me locally and save me some shipping (he's about 15 min from where I live) the following evening. My wife comes home from work with a friend who also smokes, and I have to tell her about my new "obsession" and she immediatley says "I want one of those!" (lol) So, about 20 mins until time to meet Kurt and I'm calling his number hoping he can double my order on short notice. No problem whatsoever for him.
Got home, immediatley started charging the battery (like a kid on Christmas eve) The first one finished charging about 90 minutes ago, and this damn thing hasn't left my lips since. These things are AWESOME! Had to add a couple drops of juice to the factory cart (they were a little dry) but I can TOTALLY see this device as a way to finally stop smoking!
Anyway, didn't mean to be so long winded, but wanted to thank all of you for this incredible forums, such a wealth of information to be had here. I almost can't wait until my first battery dies so I can make Bastage's usb passthru...lol
PS: Just as a side note, Kurt mentioned that soon they'll be stocking passthrus, JC liquid and the Janty Kissbox and I think the Duro. Can't wait to try the JC flavors!
