So i know my setup is pretty basic. I have a 1100mAh Vision Spinner (the markings have long since been rubbed off form use) and use a Aspire DBC tank. I know that i dont much care for the battery and want a better one, but dont know were to start.

Hi Greasepaint and welcome. Before we continue, you either have a Vision Spinner or an eGo-C Twist--and it's voltage markings, not amperage, that got rubbed off. :)

Are you ready for a box-shaped battery? If so, the best and most advanced one is the MVP 2: it comes with variable voltage and wattage, dual 510/eGo connection, ohms reader. 2600 mAh capacity--and it will charge your cell phone. What's not to like?

And it can be had for around 40 bucks--shipped!

Good luck!

Well i would like to say thanks for the correction and info. I know i have a vision because those marks are still (mostly) there.
however basically everything else you said was Chinese to me  Ive been browsing the site taking in all i can though.
My buddy just got an Itaste MVP 2.0 today, and i know it has several of the features you listed above. I got to use it for a bit today but all the options were overwhelming.
for the time being i'll just keep on readin and asking the tough questions

Ask away! In no time you'll be speaking Chinese, too! :D

So, to answer your original question, the Twists and Spinners are both very good basic variable voltage batteries--you can just get another one if you're comfortable with them.

If you want an upgrade, you'll have to look at something like the itaste VV V3 (eGo-style) or the MVP2.

And don't worry about the options--you can run an MVP just like an eGo--just adjust the voltage to your liking.

Happy hunting!

well my buddy here who knows all the electrical terms from doing sound wiring gave me a good run down on ow to properly use the variable voltage, and i must say for the last 2 months i was doing this ALL wrong  and the last 20 min have been oh so much better. Thank The Nine that he knows how to break it down barney style for me! i already feel more confident in upgrading what i have. I know i'll keep a vision or 2 for backup but i defiantly want something a little, better.

I'll have to look into the VTR, I like my dual coil but my vision just doesn't have the power output! and I felt like i had a similar problem when using my buddies MVP.

Have you looked into the zmax at all? Its a pain in the .... with the threading sometimes but its cheap and if you want more power you can stack 18350s
