I, like most, started with a cigarette looking device from the local smoke shop. I did it for nicotine while on vacations. My kids didn't know I smoked and getting away to smoke at airports and on trips is difficult. The ecig kept me from getting impatient when my body was in need of nicotine. It didn't do anything regarding the cravings for the real thing.
That was last August. I met someone who had a PV in January and checked out some more smoke shops for something new as I began to believe that if I had the right device, I might be able to quit smoking cigarettes. I got a no name ego for $50 and it worked ok. I was down to 8-10 cigs per day. It got me reading about this vaping thing online. I then tried the ego-T. It was prett good but I couldn't really taste the flavors. I got down to about 5 cigs a day with it. I then went to a local vape store not knowing what to expect or what I was even looking for. I asked the guy there what I could do to upgrade my ego-T. They were out of the ego-c Twists but he said I'd probably really like them. They sold me some LR cartos, a tank and a tip. They also let me try endless juice flavors and I found two I really liked. I was on my way. With my new setup, I got down to 2 cigs a day (wakeup and bedtime). I ordered a twist online a few days later. The twist was what I needed to kick the 2-a-day. That was June first or thereabouts. When my twist was. charging, I used my ego-t batts. On Friday, I went to the local brick and mortor store for the 10th time. I was looking to get another twist battery. They were still held up in customs so I bit the bullet. I ended up getting a Provari Mini with extra batteries. WOW!! I haven't used anything other than the Provari since Friday. It's amazing. The twist is great but the Provari is something else. I'm loving vaping and hoping my big spending is done. Thanks to all on ECF for posting their opinions and stories. It's really helped. I only wish I knew some people locally who vape. I don't really know too many smokers. So can't convert people. I wonder if there's any people in Long Beach who are into vaping.

That's a great story! Sounds like you really persevered and pushed your way into a great vaping experience. You will never regret the Provari decision. Like most of us, you will probably continue searching for better juice delivery systems for more satisfying flavor, vapor, etc. But that is the basis of our now more healthy habit. I used to live in Torrance and knew several vapers. I'm sure there are a lot in Long Beach also. Watch for vape meetings in your area where you can met t new people and try new things.

Wow, you did well. I went through three 808 brands before I wised up and went with the Go-Go (pretty much an eGo, but proprietary and 1300mah @ 4.2volts), and finally to my baby, the Buzz Pro. However, I kicked the analogues with my very first 808, but my love for vaping took me to the mod realm anyways.

ENJOY!

Thanks for the kind words. I was trying to figure out why I wanted to meet locals who vape. I guess having a hobby usually is better when it's shared with many others.

Well of course it is. If you look at the top of the page and click on the forum supplier link, a listing of all the vendors registered with ecf is there. Not only does it list their website, it also list their forum thread. Find the one for provape and meet the people there. great group. Or if you have a favorite juice vendor, click on theirs. On your journey, you may find a thread where you like to hang out. It's worth a shot.

Good luck....

No joke. Sometimes I feel like a salesman trying to get smokers to switch. I still geek out on e-cigs and force my crew to listen to me ramble on about it. I know they think I'm nuts

Exactly!!!!

Wait until one of those smokers(who don't know you are vaping) comes up to you to ask for a light. I got the biggest kick out of showing off my pv. And they were freaked out at the amount of vapor the pv had. Don't worry guys, the excitement of wanting to shout it from the rooftops will eventually quiet down. lol

My co workers are slowly switching over. Had a bet with one of them on Wednesday. He bet me I could smoke and analog, I bet him that he couldn't give back my ego. I won, both bets! So rather than make him pay up I handed him a charger, the rest of the bottle of liquid I had on me and pointed him in the direction of the closest brick and mortar to him, let him keep the ego and told him good luck. Pulled out a carto I had for backup (and I hate cartos) and went on my merry way. Guess I will find out later today if he made the switch. Got my Reo the next day lol so I won't miss the battery, but I do miss the juice, I just ran out of that flavor and my local shop isn't open today!

Tiny addition...

Those are the Forum Suppliers (they have their own forums here)...there are an additional (at this point in time) 302 Registered Suppliers
They can be found in the E-Cigarette Suppliers Forum :
E Cigarette Suppliers Forum
