Is it just me, or does MOST e-juice taste about the same? Keep in mind I'm sticking with mostly fruity flavors, and I think a lot of those tend to taste similar... but seriously. I can only sometimes find subtle differences in my juices and I have 10 or 20 bottles, all different flavors. You'd think after quitting smoking I'd be able to taste and smell better, but I tell ya, that's not always the case.

Happy vaping! :D

Brush your teeth and try again. Also, try vaping something completely different from your routine juice...I have a bottle of RY4 sitting around. When things start tasting too similar, I drip some in the dripper...always does it for me.

To deter any confusion, "vape tongue" is more psychological than physiological. It's similar to the effects of habituation, the more you are exposed to a stimuli (the juices you're vaping - fruit flavors for example) the less of an effect they have on you (in this case, the flavor is dulled). The habituation effect is reversed when you remove the stimulus (juice) - either you'll have to stop vaping for a day or two, or change the juice-type that you are using.

Also, clean your coil/wick, eventually they become so saturated that they start "letting off" your most commonly used flavor.

What equipment are you using? No difference even with fresh coil/wick?

Halo Triton system...no difference when changing coils. Maybe I'll do what the others suggested. Thanks!

I'm like you, and can't detect any subtle nuances in the juices I vape. For that reason, I've settled on mostly one-note flavors, which I can kinda-sorta taste. Like Cinnamon Roll, Green Apple, Root Beer. I like them, and they are pleasant and I can tell the difference between them - ha!

I haven't noticed any change in my taste as far as tasting food goes, either. I still like the things I liked when I was smoking, and they still taste good to me, but the same as before vaping.

Also, and this may be a plus, my sense of smell seems to be the same as it was when I smoked, too. I haven't noticed any big difference there either. Cigarette smoke doesn't smell bad to me - just like cigarette smoke always did. My niece smokes and she is welcome to smoke in my home, as it does not bother me at all.

I am 72 and smoked heavily for all of my adult life. You can do the math, lol. If this is as good as it gets, that's a-okay with me. I'm not smoking and I'm happy!:)

Thanks...so how long will this last do you think?

I've had partial vaper's tongue (couldn't taste any fruit liquids for a day)..

I've also had full-blown vaper's tongue (couldn't taste any liquids for 5 days)...

I've heard it can sometimes last up to a few weeks.. But I think most cases last for a week or less

You can try any of the suggestions, but I honestly don't think there's really much you can do to get rid of it quicker, except drink plenty of water & wait it out..

In the meantime you might want to vape up some of your less enjoyable liquids :D

What Buggainok stated is correct but let me add to his statement. If you notice the flavors he has chosen are dominant flavors. Basically you want to pick dominant flavors that are different. Also recently when I get vapors tongue I switch to unflavored nic. Why waste good tasting ejuce when you can't taste it?

I'm sure there might be a little vapor's tongue going on. I switch tanks frequently throughout the day, and sometimes I can't tell the difference. With the fruits, I'm finding just a tiny bit of menthol (not tobacco, clear-your-sinuses menthol) with a fruit perks it up. I think that's why I like MBV Thug Juice. Was at my local B&M this weekend and ordered Ectoplasm Iced - I like the brightness that the menthol adds.

I'm trying to drink more water (as is often suggested) - other than keeping my lips from feeling really chapped, I can't tell that it's helping me much (yet). Taowulf recommends sniffing coffee beans - sometimes when I take a sip of coffee, that helps define previously murky flavors, but unfortunately, not long enough.

You might try throwing something really obscure into your fruit mix (i.e. not a fruit) to see if that shakes things up enough for you....

Good Luck!

I've struggled off and on with this too. Drinking lots of water is always a good idea but the thing that has helped me the most is changing flavors throughout the day. I take one tobacco and two dissimilar dessert vapes with me every day to work. I've got a small army of tanks at home and a dripping rig now so I'm able to really mix it up flavor wise to combat this.
