Hey all,

I have been vaping for about a year and a half. I don't miss the analogs at all.

To start off I enjoyed smoking. The feel, the smell, the smoke. I dabbled with ecigs while using analogs just because my wife wanted me to quit. But I liked it to much to. Until one analog shut down my respiratory system and put me in the hospital for 3 days. Breathing treatments every 30 min, constant oxygen. That is when I quit. And didn't look back. I went up the ranks with ecigs just like a lot of others. But I also turned to dipping while I was at work. Just to get the fulfillment.

Well lol I have quit dipping also. I haven't had a dip in a month. Strictly vaping! And I feel great! So for anyone that is still has questions if it is possible, let me tell you that it is. Do your research and you will find anything you want to know. Want more vapor? The vets here have been there and can help you achieve your goal! Stay strong with vaping and you will never look back!

Hope this helps!

Wow, so sorry to hear that happened to you, and so glad you found figured out how to finally be satisfied with vaping instead. Not quite sure what you mean by it shutting down your respiratory system. Did you have pneumonia or something? I smoked 30 yrs and trust me, I could tell I was headed for some serious issues if I didn't do something about it. Vaping has saved my life. I haven't smoked in 2 1/2 years. I never thought I'd be able to say that. I love vaping more than I ever did cigarettes. Best of luck to you! :)

With the deepest of love and respect I am so glad you made it through those horrific breathing treatments...
I have known those who did not.

Thank you for sharing your testimony... I am honored to have read how you have now won the battle.
Like myself, I'm sure there are many others who will benefit from having you as a friend here in ECF.

I'm glad you guys read this. I hope all new members find this helpful in their endeavors into vaping.

And to elaborate on shutting down my respiratory system, I smoked an analog on night after work on my way home. After the analog I coupled feel my chest getting tighter. Didn't think anything of it, it was a cool night and figured that was what it was. Went and got a tattoo and while I was getting my tattoo the tightness in my chest became worse. Now I was not being able to take a full breath. My fingertips and lips started to turn blue. (I'm a medic so I know I'm becoming hypoxic) so over to the ER I walk (I lived right across the street from the ER). Took me into triage (I know all the nurses) took my oxygen saturation which was right around 95%. So they put me in a room and on a nasal cannula @ 4 L/m. Well as I was sitting there I passed out. My oxygen saturation dropped down to 83%, I was woken up to the nurses and the dr putting me on higher flow oxygen and pumping my lungs with a bunch of meds. A couple of which had to be looked up for proper use lol. And thus started my three day recovery.

That is the worse feeling in the world ladies and gentlemen. To be sitting there, slowly not being able to take a breath and then nothing. Never again. I have a 17 month old son and a little girl due in December. I'm 27 and I have plenty live for right now.

Ok I'm off my soapbox now lol.

Hello, fello Alabamian. I spent a lot of time in the Wahrgrass area back in the day, fixing levees and whatnot.

Congratulations on quitting, and great to hear that you pulled through that ordeal. Nothing like that ever happened to me, but I knew... I mean... I just knew that if I didn't quit those things, they were gonna be the death of me all too soon.
